On almost any given day, this was exactly the way Cassie could be found - sitting at a table in the Commongrounds Cafe, her laptop open in front of her so she could get some work done on am assignment from one of her classes. The only thing missing was her coffee, which she had put on hold so that she could get a start on her work first. It was at that moment, fingers moving across the keyboard, that she spotted someone coming up to her out of her peripheral vision. “Probably not a good idea to talk to me before I’ve had my coffee,” she warned them, not even looking away from her screen.
Kyla came up a little short when the girl suddenly spoke and she rose an eyebrow slightly. She shifted her bag a little on her shoulder and shook her head. “Not an issue, I was just wondering if you’d mind if I sat?” She asked, gesturing to the empty seat across from her. “I can bring coffee as a peace offering, but nowhere else is open and I just need a place to read that isn’t my bed.”
