Mila wasn’t sure what was going on today. As much as she tried to avoid Kylie it seemed as if they’d always find themselves staring at one another awkwardly. It was beginning to feel like they had a gravitational pull towards one another which was just really weird and annoying. It hadn’t been long since the brunette found out who exactly happened to be her soulmate and the whole thing was blowing a bit out of proportion. Just because the blond was her soulmate didn’t mean they’d end up together. It meant they should be together but that didn’t mean that either of them had to have feelings for each other, and if they did so what? What makes them so different from everyone else? Sighing softly, she smiled awkwardly before looking around at everyone else. “Maybe we’re putting too much energy into the whole ignoring each other thing? Maybe if we stop trying to hard then it could somehow become a natural thing—us not seeing each other around all the time.”
Lifting her gaze from her fixation on the tilted floor, her eyes bore into pools of light brown looking back at her, which made her flush slightly and for the situation to be just a tad bit more awkward if that was even possible still. Kylie traced her soulmate tattoo with Mila's initials on her wrist subconsciously, like she did whenever the brunette was in sight. Seeing her soulmate wasn't the most magical thing in the entire universe like she had hoped when she was younger. She thought that when she met her prince Charming that would be about anything and everything she had ever hoped for, just like her mother had told her. So getting her tattoo made her be extremely cheery and happy about finally meeting him.. only to be surprised with a girl close her age that was her, without a doubt, soulmate. Of course that since then things hadn't been easy for either of them, if finding out about it was awkward and hard to process, all their families and friends telling them it was an abomination only hurt more. "Really?", she asked, a bit confused about the other's plan. "Wouldn't that mean we would just bump into each other just the same? You know, soulmate thing and all..." She mumbled the last part, aware that they weren't exactly alone in that moment.
