“Aquarius - Let the Sunshine In” is a medley of two songs released as one single by American R&B group The 5th Dimension. They were originally written for the musical Hair by James Rado and Gerome Ragni (lyrics), and Galt MacDermot (music) in 1967. The 5th Dimension’s version of the medley was released in March 1969 and charted that Spring, spending six weeks at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 pop singles chart in May of 1969 and was eventually certified platinum in the US by the RIAA. The actual recording is something of a rarity: the song was recorded in two cities, Los Angeles and Las Vegas, then mixed together in the studio.
Absolutely HUGE tune back in the day.
A California appeals court has stripped legendary music producer Quincy Jones of around £5million in royalties after he won a claim royalties and fees from the Michael Jackson estate in 2017.
Looks like a 45 sized record. Fun red color vinyl.

#1 Favorite bass player... magic man.
Saw him in Dallas with a stage full of acoustic bass guitars. Fabulous. Just one of his many legendary tunes.
This is also Jan Hammer on keyboard - unfortunately too many know him as the guy who did the theme for Miami Vice.
