Kazuki is very easily one of the easiest characters to hate. He’s relentless, a brat, and radical with seemingly no redeeming qualities. But what no one seems to get is how he’s a victim of circumstance, and in this analysis I’ll attempt to prove why he’s more than just a yokai-hating jerk with no empathy, and show how he ended up the way he is.

sute’s love for yokai: pure or patronizing?

Sute throughout the series is known as a girl who loves yokai despite the majority of her kind hating them, and this leads to many people, in the series and in the fandom, to think of her as some kind of saint. But all I see is a girl who doesn’t realize her human privilege.
