In my pjs all weekend wrapping Xmas presents...
Someone please explain: what the f*ck is a backstop?!
Woman DJ playing one of my fave tracks by my all-time fave DJ/producer at an amazing venue. What a moment!
A comment on the new breed of venue popping up around London:
The likes of Tobacco Dock, Printworks etc have a clear place on the clubbing landscape in London- a clear change from the standard purpose built venues we’re used to. These new locations play host to different types of events from raves to fashion shows and offer a very different clubbing experience. Where Ministry of Sound, for example, is purpose built for raving with smaller bar areas, fewer toilets, smaller rooms, Printworks, by contrast, is vast. Events are run almost like a mini festival with cashless bars and lockers instead of cloakrooms. Both have a place but my personal opinion is that you just cannot beat that heady, sweaty, lights down vibe that you get in underground and veteran establishments like Fabric or The Cause! Being herded around like sheep and doing KS3 maths at the bar to work out how many tokens you need for a drink is a vibe killer! It detracts from the reason we are (or should be) there- the music. I’ll take a dingy club with a world class sound system over a super-venue any day :)
GWAN!
Classic Ibiza at Hatfield House!
Ibiza anthems with the Urban Soul Orchestra, live vocals and DJ set Goldierocks. Amazing afternoon with a chill out set as the sun goes down and then all out party under the stars with a laser light show accompanying the music. Look out for tickets for this at various locations around the U.K. next year. You can bring your own food and drink and set up a picnic but the lovely thing about it was the mix of people- we saw young adults, older ravers and families with young kids. This is what house music should be!

Incredible collection of neon art at God’s Own Junkyard in Walthamstow. Not only is the artwork amazing but there’s a little cafe inside where you can sit and chill amongst the lights (potentially a cute little alternative date spot!). This is a family run business with the nicest people you could wish to work with!
Sometimes London AIN’T where it’s at.
Booked for my wedding, year two-thousand-and-never...
I’ll take them all, thanks.
BOKAN
Beautiful cocktail bar on the 37-39th floors of the Novotel building in Canary Wharf. ALL true Londoners love a roof terrace, so floor 39 is a real treat! Lovely cocktails and decor. Service, however, not so much. Soz. In a city with a higher than acceptable level of individuals with no social awareness, good service is so important. It restores your faith! Although staff were lovely and super friendly on arrival, we were quickly forgotten about which has slightly tainted my memory of Bokan.
Still all about them toilets though.
So I know you’re not dead, babe.
Dump that fool.
