Hugging his small stack of tomes to his chest, the benevolent smile gracing Robin’s lips soon falls to a neutral line, his overall expression shifting to become much more serious in demeanor, perhaps foreshadowing what it is the young man has to say to the other. Although the tactician takes pride in his position, he never enjoys having to be to the bearer of bad news--he never likes having to come up to their commander and leader and tell him he does not believe his army is in good enough shape to tackle a certain enemy. The white-haired male had even tried to come up with some plans to try and compensate for the lack of defense the army currently possesses, but every single thought that came to his mind was flawed, and would just end in many units getting injured, if not killed. It is a weakness he had managed to cover in previous battles, but if the rumors about their upcoming enemy really is true, then Robin is genuinely worried. And he cannot, under good conscience, allow this concern to go unreported to their leader.
“I am afraid that we may heavily struggle with or even lose this upcoming battle. I say this because I have heard word that our enemy is highly offensive, and I don’t believe our defenses, at the current moment, can stand up to a flurry of attacks. We have an extremely strong offensive ourselves, yes, but our defensive units would be worn out quickly. Far too quickly for my liking,”
Taking a short pause, the young man then allows for a small, short sigh to leave his lips, hoping Corrin understands that he voices these concerns not out of being too lazy to fix them himself, but rather not feeling as though he has the time and resources himself to resolve the issue. After all, he figures the other male would want to know of such a problem in his army--that he would want to know of every weakness present so that he and the tactician may come up with ways to counter those.
“I just...I think it would be too dangerous for us to continue on with this battle with the army in the current state it is in. I really think we should either recruit more defensive men, or heavily train the men we have already. Either way, I do not think it is in anyone’s best interest that we continue on until this issue is resolved.”
