Loving that outfit.
And Robert talking Edith again.
Carry on like this and I might start believing that Rosamond is just her aunt.

Hall Barn, in Beaconsfield, the filming location for Anthony Strallan’s house.
I do think it looks better with the wing take off.
I wonder if the wing was pulled down or if there was a fire?
I would have liked to see these two have a HEA. Strallan first man to fall for Edith. No doubt he loved her.
‘ bygone-age:
My favourite head canon for these two is that they go on Italy for their Honeymoon and Edith is ill, but they discover that she’s pregnant. The pregnancy is difficult and Anthony doesn’t want to risk Edith and the baby’s health by travelling, so they stay in Italy (I go between Rome and Venice) untill the baby is born. Surprisingly, Edith gives birth to twins, girls they name Beatrice and Rosamund. By the time they get home, they’ve been away for a year, are still besotted with each other and while they get on reasonably well with the Crawleys, they’re happiest at Loxley and actually get on better with Anthony’s family. This is because Anthony’s family are less dismissive of Edith, her interests and of her’s and Anthony’s relationship in general.
In my head cannon the Crawley’s are jealous of how well Edith gets on with the Strallan’s and are always dropping hints trying to get invited round.
But Edith pretends not to notice, so she can keep the visits to a minimum.
I can see that. Like they can be civil and they might be alright for the odd dinner, but long parties - a hunt or a holiday or something - are kept to a minimum because Anthony notices how dismissive the Crawley’s can be of Edith and it’s one of the few things that make him angry.
His family on the other hand, think Edith is the best thing to happen to Anthony in many years. Whenever the two of them host a do at Loxley - the children’s birthdays or their anniversary for instance - his family get invited before hers because Edith always feels like they judge her hosting, her home, how her kids are raised, pretty much everything. They do to an extent, but mainly they’re jealous, like you said. Mary in particular is prickly because around her, little Isobel is quiet and reserved, but she gets on like a house on fire with her cousins and really comes out of her shell and is lively and talkative. People remark that their children get on better with each other than Mary and Edith ever did.
One exception is Sybil and Tom. With Edith and Sybil hhey get the leaving interests in common, the Strallans and the Bransons end up getting along really well, especially Sybil’s boys and young Edward, they are as thick as thieves!
Edith and Sybil’s closeness is another thing that makes Mary jealous.
And the more Jealous they get the less they see of Edith. The first they hear about Edith’s book is when Cora’s ladies maid see’s it in a book shop.
Also In my head Cannon Anthony has another estate in Cornwall which helps with keeping the Crawley’s at bay.
Oh, I can totally see that, I can imagine Cora insisting that the lady’s maid got it wrong because “Edith would have said something“ (why? They’ve been ignoring/being generally mean to her for years, why would they think that she’d tell them something like that?), but the lady’s maid gets a copy and then Cora and Robert are all “why wouldn’t you say anything?” and get really uncomfortable when she says “I didn’t think you’d be interested”, so in the future, they try to take an interest, but it’s incredibly awkard because they’ve never really done it before and it tapers off to being “how’s the writing going?”
Cornwall sounds lovely! Maybe Anthony’s place down is a tucked away little haven where everyone is quiet and peaceful. Sometimes they’re joined by Tom, Sybil and the children and all of the kids end going on adventures and being knights and stuff after youg Edward sees the ruins of Tintagel Catle out of his window and asks his father about it (Tintagel is supposed to be the birthplace o King Arthur. I thought it would be the perfect fuel for the imagination of six growing children)!
I think the house looks like Chavenage House.

Just testing to see if my old account will show up in tags.
And the answer is no.
And now I’ll cheer myself up by watching a documentary about people dying in the UK in 2016 because they can’t afford to heat their homes.
In 2016.
In the UK.
The sixth richest country in the world.
FFS.
12 million people in the UK skip meals to pay their energy bills.
12 million.
Oh, the government redefined fuel poverty so they wouldn’t have to do anything about it.
Bastards.
This government’s policies have literally killed thousands of people.
It’s not hyperbole to call the Tories murderers.
They have deliberately and with full knowledge enacted policies which have resulted in thousands of avoidable deaths.
