If Aegon the unworthy was mean to Baelor for looking Dornish, imagine how mean he was about Rhaegel😭. He probably told Daeron that he should have left him in the woods to die.
During Baelor and Lady Jena Dondarrion’s wedding celebration, Rhaegel beat Lyonel Baratheon in a dance fight for Lady Alys Arryn it looked like this
That’s the real reason he hates Targaryens!
Baelor: Those berries are poisonous so no one eat them.
Rhaegel: *berry juice all over his mouth* Yeah, duh.
Baelor: …Go throw up.
Rhaegel: I didn’t eat any.
Baelor, Maekar, Aerys: Go throw up.
I went to the Rhaegel defense club and It was Maekar in full set of armour with his mace sitting on a chair
YESSSSSS! Young Maekar learning how to fight purely because other lords were making fun of his big brother!
He’s also a member of Daenora defense club. Him snatching up Aerion so quickly when he tries to make fun of her.
Revised Daenora Headcanons
That focus more on her relationship with family:
In my headcanon, Aelor, Aelora, and Daenora are triplets, all born in the same year as Aemon, rather than Daenora arriving years later.
The three siblings were extremely close, with Aelor and Aelora being fiercely protective of Daenora because she was different.
Aelor and Aelora were the favorites of their mother, Alys Arryn. They were the perfect Targaryens, with flawless silver hair and shining lilac eyes, and Alys took great pride in their beauty and talents, often boasting about them.
Daenora, however, was seen by Alys as complicate. She was a strange child with a peculiar personality, far more like her father than her mother.
Alys feared for her younger daughter’s reputation and frequently tried to get her daughter to act more like Aelora and when that failed, she pushed Daenora into the shadows.
Rhaegel loved Daenora more than anything. She was his little twin flame. As a baby, he carried her constantly and hid her beneath his cloak. When the nursemaids took her away, he would often become tearful. Rhaegel filled her imagination with magic and validated her ability to see and speak to spirits, giving her a sense of wonder and acceptance that she rarely received elsewhere.
After Aelor and Aelora were wed at fourteen, Daenora was left unmarried. Rhaegel argued with his family that Aelor should marry both Aelora and Daenora, citing the Old Valyrian belief that triplets were made for each other. He passionately accused his brothers of being ashamed of their Valyrian heritage and letting the Andals control them, but he was overruled by his father and siblings.
This pattern of being left behind left a lasting mark on Daenora, and she came to believe that perhaps she was born to be alone.
Daenora grew into an introverted, quiet, and gentle princess, inquisitive and thoughtful. Despite her off-putting nature, she enjoyed helping others. Her mannerisms often echoed those of Rhaegel, with birdlike gestures, especially tilting her head when observing something.
Maekar attempted to betroth Aerion to Daenora to keep her protected and close to the family. Aerion, however, despised the idea, seeing Daenora as the weird and ugly triplet.
Daenora was sweetly aloof to his distain. When he and his family visited, she’d hug him (he doesn’t hug back) and gift him a little gift like an owl feather, a lock of her hair, the skull of a dead lizard.
Daenora claimed to see and speak to the dead, holding full conversations with invisible companions.
Some family members, including Rhaegel, Aerys, Aemon, and to a lesser extent Baelor, believed her due to their knowledge of Old Valyria and the powers of Dead Speakers.
Aegon accepted her abilities out of childlike fascination, while the Andals and Maesters dismissed her as a poor princess who had merely inherited her father’s madness.
Another Rhaegel Fancast: Neil Newbon
He’s around the same age as the actors for Maekar and Baelor. He’s naturally very energetic and eccentric but not evil looking which fits Rhaegel well.
Old Valyrian Headcanon
Daenora and Rhaegel’s magical gift: Dead speaking.
Morghūlvāedar (Death-Speaking)
• Children born with the ability to see and speak with the dead were called Morghūlvāedar in Old Valyria, meaning “Death-Speaking.”
• These children were taken from noble families at a young age and placed into an order known as the Vezof Morghūlī (“Keepers of the Dead”), similar in structure to the Silent Sisters but far older and far more magical.
• They were both necessary and feared, used for funerals, succession disputes, murder investigations, and determining loyalty after death. Their insight rivaled even blood and fire magic in power.
• Morghūlvāedar were devoted to Balerion, the Valyrian god of night, and death, performing sacred rites to guide souls and interpret their lingering will.
• The order lived in volcanic temples beneath Old Valyria, often near tombs, mines, or dragon fire pits, shrouded in black or gray robes and veils of obsidian beads that clicked softly as they moved.
• Noble families viewed these children as cursed rather than gifted, much like how medieval society regarded executioners: useful, but unclean and socially awkward. Many were hidden away until the order claimed them.
• The Dead-Speakers’ magic was shadowy and dangerous, giving them insight into the truths the living preferred buried: murders, betrayals, slavery, and other sins of the powerful.
• They were forbidden from ruling, owning dragons, or marrying freely, because a politically ambitious Morghūlvāedar could destabilize even a dragonlord dynasty.
• In society, they were both revered and shunned. Invited to palaces only through side entrances, avoided at festivals, and generally treated with the same fearful respect as executioners.
• People whispered: “A dragon dreamer sees glory. A Morghūlvāedar sees what glory costs.”
• Daenora, being born with Morghūlvāedar, carries the legacy of a nearly extinct Valyrian tradition, a gift older than the Targaryens themselves and coveted by powerful figures like Bloodraven.
Dead speakers who showed up in Targaryen line were seen as mad and melancholic. Rhaegel and Daenora for example. Aegon, son of Rhaenrya also had this gift. He was haunted with whispers from his mother and the dead spirits of Dance of the dragons. But It is extremely, extremely rare.
Aegon the Conqueror’s mother was a death speaker. Velaryon and Celtigars can also have death speakers.
Death speakers are usually incredibly depressed but Daenora finds comfort in it. She never truly has to mourn her loved one because they never really leave her.

Tragic Aerion HC
He honestly thought he was coming back as a dragon. He had no intention of leaving his wife and son behind. He even thought becoming a dragon would protect and save his family because at this point they were dropping like flies seemingly at random. He told Daenora that she’d be his rider and they together would bring back the glory of House Targaryen.
Daenora, exhausted and hopeless from his madness that had worsened throughout their years together, gave him a goodbye kiss before he drank the Wildfire
Literally how Aerion was sleeping for few weeks after Maegor was born because the boy was ‘breathing weirdly’, Aerion just had a first time parent paranoia.
Baby Maegor is looking at Lady Arryn for help btw.

Idea, let me know if you like it:
Aelor, Aelora, and Daenora being reimagined as triplets.
Traditionally if they were allowed their Old Valyrian tradition of polygamy in Westeros, Aelor could happily marry both Aelora and Daenora without problem.
But that tradition ended with Aegon the Conqueror.
So because you’re only allowed one wife in the religion of the Seven, Daenora is left out which becomes an unintentional theme in her relationship with them.
Since from what i noticed in the books, Targaryen believes that twins are made for each other and share a soul. What about triplets?
Aelora and Aelor are allowed to live each other and have their soul bond but not Daenora. Her marriage is not for love, it is for politics.
It makes the dark hair symbolism so much more satisfying and why she’s so different from her siblings. She is their shadow.
This would be so much more interesting than just Daenora being another child bride in the book full of child brides.
