I love drawing the Noldor wearing lots of jewelry, especially necklaces with lots of little details. I did my best to represent that here

Ive been working on this damn Noldor family tree since monday, and i keep jumping all over the place, i havent really planned out designs for some of them at all, so ive mostly just been looking for jewelry they could wear on pinterest, i imagine them wearing bronze age inspired clothing, so lots of simple tunics with patterns, but especially lots of jewelry, im mostly focusing on giving them a wide variety of jewelry for now

I’d like to plan this out a little more eventually and create some mini-lore around what they wear and why, but we’ll see how it goes over time

For Eladoté, i was inspired by the traditional clothing worn by women in Mauritania, i find it so beautiful, and ive had this particular vision for her for such a long time

I cant wait to show you more once ive made more progress ahah

I work on a big family tree of Noldor and here are the first portraits i drew, i really like the ones of Findis and Írimë, as well as the jewelry i designed, this is the first time ive drawn so many “complex” pieces

Its pretty obvious, but I didnt pay much attention to their physical descriptions, its not something i focus on much at first

A Quiet evening in the Queen’s quarters

Red Keep, 198 AC

The Queen enjoying a peaceful evening with her good daughers and grandchildren. I’d like to think that they all came along well with each other.

Been busy with work and the first thing I go for is to draw a piece with 11 characters and furniture (>o<)

-> from left to right : Aelor & Aelora (3), Alys Arryn (26), Valarr (9), Jena Dondarrion (27), Daeron (8), Dynna Dayne (24), Myriah Martell (47), Matarys (5), Aerion (6) and Aelinor Penrose (26)

-> Little statue / mirror representing Meleys dating back from Alyssa’s time at the Keep

-> Knight, horses toys and an old Syrax one found hidden behind furniture in an unused room by Aerion

-> gave Valarr the two toned eyes from the show (I loved this idea)

ive been really into #Jaadugar: a witch in Mongolia » lately, especially the clothing worn by the nomadic peoples of the steppes, i wanted to draw inspiration from that for my designs of Fingolfin's children, its still missing a lot of jewelry and decorative patterns, but its late, so this is where im at ahah

I hope i’ll have the time to make a cleaner, more polished version later

Daeron and Vaella WIP

i love daeron and kiera as a couple, like, sorry not sorry, give me a miserable man struggling with mental illness and a widow grieving the death of her husband, give me more stories like that

i wouldnt say theyre a genuinely happy couple, they both carry so much baggage, and they wont necessarily overcome it, in the end, Daeron's dreams will consume him and indirectly lead to his death

But i really love the idea of two lonely people finding comfort in each other, two people who become deeply attached because theyre both carrying so much grief

they'll have their happy moments, at first, there'll be passion, hope, and that feeling that everything is finally going to be okay, but i imagine that wont last very long, especially a few months after Vaella is born

AND DAERON AND VAELLA ???

girl dad, ofc , like, he wont be a great father, he'll fail her more times than he can count, but he'll love her with all he has and try to show it in the only ways he knows how

despite the parents she'll have, i imagine Vaella growing up as this endlessly cheerful little girl, full of life and just overflowing with energy, she'll be the light of both her parents' lives... and her grandfather's too bahah Maekar will absolutely adore her

WIP - Fëanor and Finwë 😚

Well, I’m posting my designs for Fëanor and Finwë ahah

For this outfit, I want Fëanor wearing more of a formal court ensemble, maybe even the one he was wearing when he drew his sword on Fingolfin, I like the idea of Elves wearing long outer robes or coats, and I wish I’d added more embroidery to his clothes, I imagine intricate embroidery being something of an Elven trademark

As for Finwë, I picture him in something much simpler, the kind of outfit he would wear while relaxing in his private chambers, I also imagine this style of tunic being especially popular among the Noldor

I also like the idea that Elves of Finwë’s generation wear their hair very long, while the younger generations tend to wear it shorter, like Fëanor

I’m also supposed to add more jewelry, especially for the Noldor, I mean, what’s the point of hanging around Aulë if you’re not going to wear any ?
