Said that I wasn't going to rant but there's something so horrible about Skybound not giving Elita her G1 team, despite clinging so much to the sunbow cartoon, and then having almost all of her interactions with the few female characters there are be negative ones

cyberworld lost me with grimlock telling elita “you’re a good leader, strong and smart, but you don’t bring bots together like a family and that’s why we need optimus” because this is something modern transformers media keeps insisting about elita (tfo and tfeu) but it’s something they pulled out of their ass purely to make optimus look good because

??? like??? i’m not saying all interpretations of elita need to be the same, continuities will differ in characterization. but the continual scrubbing of g1 aspects of elita like how she led her squad or had time bending abilities is starting to make her inclusion feel incredibly tokenized especially when she’s the only girl and none of her crew seen here are anywhere to be found. i love elita, but im tired of accepting crumbs just because a pink colored bot with her name is there just to exist for optimus’ sake, whether that’s used as a prop for his development or used to make him look like a better leader. she wasn’t his second in command, she WAS in command.

Dream foreshadowing Skybound? I HOPE NOT

The Skybound situation is genuinely so bad that I had a dream the other night that the animated adaptation of Skybound that may or may not be in the works right now, (I have no faith in Hasbro to keep their word) was adding and straight up changing events/scenes to the first 24 issues (a.k.a the only good ones) to aligne more with KIRKman's vision

Like a flashback scene to someone saying "You're always such a great leader Elita! You should be in charge one day!" was a literal part of the dream 🫩 subtle much?

And don't get me wrong, god yes I love Elita but I LOATHE what Kirkman did to her more than her having her have a "cool new roll in the story!~"

(It genuinely got so bad, I had a dream about the TFO sequel where she got less than 9 minutes of screen time and they made her mid in it 💔)

And it's not even just her he's mischaracterised! I can go on FOREVER about everything he's messed up about the series!- ANYWAY! my point in case is that whoever is behind the makings of the potential Animated show knows what they're doing and STICKS TO THE ACTUAL FIRST 24 COMICS AS MUCH AS THEY CAN or otherwise I'm gonna crash out.😮‍💨
