I hate "sibling-coded" as a term so much. Most of the time people use it to replace "friends" and I feel that happens because friendship is seen as the "lesser" relationship. Like, your most important relationships have to be either be filial or romantic and if you happen to care too much about a friend it's because you either see them as a sibling or a potential spouse.
