okay but like⊠why is âage of ultronâ called âage of ultronâ????? itâs wasnât really an âageâ, it happened over the course of like three days. it was more like a long weekend. it was the long weekend of ultron
Marketing probably didnât think âWeekend at Ultronâsâ would draw in the crowds.
have you ever read the description/summary of a book and thoughtÂ
this is soÂ
Heterosexualâą
Is there a lesbian big sister program where I can adopt a baby gay and tell them theyâre valid and beautiful and perfect? Because if not, there needs to be one.
yes, there actually is. join Big Brothers Big Sisters if you live in the US or Canada. you will have the option to specifically identify yourself as LGBT in the application process and to request an LGBT little, and they will do everything in their power to match you with one. this organization is fucking amazing, and a lot of chapters are hurting badly from a shortage of mentors. there are a lot of disadvantaged kids out there who need a friend and someone to look up to.
mentoring has a proven positive effect on the lives of children - kids who have a mentor are 55% more likely to later attend college, 130% more likely to hold leadership positions, more likely to pursue and maintain a healthy lifestyle than the average person, more capable of making good choices, far more likely to stay out of trouble with the law ⊠etc. the benefits are huge and far reaching and positively impact the entire course of the childâs life. many of these kids are from rough backgrounds. some have significant challenges and some have seen things even you wonât have in your much longer life. having a stable and trustworthy adult they can confide in really matters.
if you are serious about wanting to help guide a young person, if you truly want to emotionally support a young girl who is either questioning or positive in her lesbian identity, please check out BBBS. itâs one of the most fulfilling things you will ever do.

1. âAbleist feminism is making reproductive rights activism all about birth control, abortion, and the right to *not* have children if you donât want to, while writing off the fact that so many disabled people have to fight for the right to have kids, as if thatâs not a reproductive rights issue, too.â
2. âAbleist feminism is centering all their body positivity on âbeing healthy!!â when my body cannot be and will never be â"healthyââ and i will always be ill.â
3. âAbleist feminism is accusing people of being âbad/fake feministsâ for not going to/participating in rallies, protests, and other events and ignoring how inaccessible these events can be.âÂ
4. âAbleist feminism is criticizing people for not speaking up about misogyny and disregarding reasons why ND people may not be able to do so (such as lack of spoons, not being able to handle conflict/confrontation, difficulty with communication, etc).â
5. âAbleist feminism is being outraged at the women who were sent to abusive asylums for being outspoken and such, because they âdidnât belong there,â while completely ignoring the institutional abuse of actual ND people.â
6. âAbleist feminism acts like autistic men are inherently more misogynistic than allistic men.â
7. âAbleist feminism is arguing that womenâs concerns are valid because theyâre not âcrazyâ
8. âAbleist feminism is mocking people for "living in their parentâs basementâ
9. âAbleist feminism is no or poor accommodations for the disabled at feminist events.â
10. âAbleist feminism is calling bigots ableist slurs.â
Letâs talk about ableism in mainstream feminism - submit your examples of ableist feminsim here.

dear trans kids
Itâs totally okay to name yourself after someone you admire. Parents do it all the time, they name their kids after family members, friends, celebrities, anything, and you can do the same. Youâre not faking anything, and I love your name. It suits you.

Side note - I donât think Tumblr notifies your Inbox if I private-reply to your message, it just gets buried in your feed. If you non-anonymously sent an appropriate/supportive message/inquiry, 99% chance I replied at least a thank-you. So check your inbox if you care bout that stuff!
disabled person: i need a job to survive in this capitalist hellscape. the job is literally killing me. I would have a much more fulfilling and healthy life if I wasn't forced to work
disabled person: but sadly i'm not allowed a healthy and fulfilling life, i am forced to die well below my life expectancy because of this.
abled person: WOW GOALS! I'M SO INSPIRED BY YOU FOR WORKING. IF YOU CAN DO IT ANYONE CAN DO IT. HEAR THAT YOU OTHER LAZY DISABLEDS THIS PERSON CAN DO IT SO YOU SHOULD TOO. BE #INSPIRED. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE IF YOU PUT YOUR MIND TO IT. (:
lesbian cartoon crush starter kit
get this out my damn face
When people tell stories about how their parents beat them, itâs always interesting to see their face change because they expected me to say âme too lolâ but I instead say âIâm really sorry. You didnât deserve thatâ Last time a co worker who also has West Indian parents was telling me in a joking way how he remembers being beaten with a belt because lied about his report card. As he was laughing it off and saying he deserved it, I just said âwow thatâs awful hun. You didnât deserve that.â And his whole face changed. Like it hadnât occurred to him that itâs messed up that a part of remembering his childhood is remembering how badly it hurt to be beaten so badly at such a young age. Another time I had a friend, non West Indian parents, who talked about how she made a mess on a dress that her parents got her. It was really expensive apparently and she spilled red juice on it. She talked about how she was ordered to take the dress of and was beaten with a belt too without any clothes on. And she was laughing and said âI was a bad ass kid lolâ and I said âno hun you were just a kidâ. And she looked at me and immediately stopped laughing and just sat there like âyeaâŠI was just a kid. I donât know why they did that to meâ My mom was raised in a household where she was beaten so badlyâŠ.I just donât understand how she is so loving now growing up in a home where she got so little love. They called it discipline, but once she became a social worker she began to see that it was abuse. That she grew up terrified of her parents, although they thought it was respect that my mom felt. It was fear. We have to get comfortable challenging what is often seen as cultural norms. We have to be a generation of people who are not ashamed to say âI would never beat my childâ.
Thank you. It took me a long time to realize this.
