Emotional Walls Your Character Has Built (And What Might Finally Break Them)
(How your character defends their soft core and what could shatter it) Because protection becomes prison real fast.
✶ Sarcasm as armor. (Break it with someone who laughs gently, not mockingly.) ✶ Hyper-independence. (Break it with someone who shows up even when they’re told not to.) ✶ Stoicism. (Break it with a safe space to fall apart.) ✶ Flirting to avoid intimacy. (Break it with real vulnerability they didn’t see coming.) ✶ Ghosting everyone. (Break it with someone who won’t take silence as an answer.) ✶ Lying for convenience. (Break it with someone who sees through them but stays anyway.) ✶ Avoiding touch. (Break it with accidental, gentle contact that feels like home.) ✶ Oversharing meaningless things to hide real depth. (Break it with someone who asks the second question.) ✶ Overworking. (Break it with forced stillness and the terrifying sound of their own thoughts.) ✶ Pretending not to care. (Break it with a loss they can’t fake their way through.) ✶ Avoiding mirrors. (Break it with a quiet compliment that hits too hard.) ✶ Turning every conversation into a joke. (Break it with someone who doesn’t laugh.) ✶ Being everyone’s helper. (Break it when someone asks what they need, and waits for an answer.) ✶ Constantly saying “I’m fine.” (Break it when they finally scream that they’re not.) ✶ Running. Always running. (Break it with someone who doesn’t chase, but doesn’t leave, either.) ✶ Intellectualizing every feeling. (Break it with raw, messy emotion they can’t logic away.) ✶ Trying to be the strong one. (Break it when someone sees the weight they’re carrying, and offers to help.) ✶ Hiding behind success. (Break it when they succeed and still feel empty.) ✶ Avoiding conflict at all costs. (Break it when silence causes more pain than the truth.) ✶ Focusing on everyone else’s healing but their own. (Break it when they hit emotional burnout.)
take my hand for a moment
your objective from this point on is to survive
the election results are going to take a few days. The world is going to be very tense. I want you to take all the things you like to do to distract yourself and splurge on them. I want you to go eat your favroite foods and spend time with friends. I want you to do what you gotta do to make sure you can make it through the week.
There are people out there who want you to survive. There are people out there who are just as scared as you are.
We'll get through this. We will find a way
it hurts to let go of what you’ve grown, of what you’ve known. when you’ve nurtured something—whether it’s a relationship, a dream, or even a belief—there’s a natural attachment to it. letting go often feels like a loss, stirring up fear and uncertainty about the future. it’s easy to get stuck in that fear, thinking that clinging to the past will keep you safe. but try not to resist this change. let go, even when it feels uncomfortable, because holding on too tightly only stifles what’s meant to bloom next 🍂🧸🍄🟫🌅🫧
Thank you, @princessvicky01. I really needed to see this today.
I shall not be left to wander the drifting roads of the Fade
For there is no darkness, nor death either, in the Maker's Light
And nothing that He has wrought shall be lost.

Cullen’s prayer watching a sleeping Lavellan during Trespasser
I love who you are now, I've done nothing to change that.

The Inquisition
You're back to me.
whenever i loot darkspawn and there’s money i start wondering…is there darkspawn capitalism? what’s the darkspawn economy like? does the economy thrive during a blight because the darkspawn are ‘employed’ or does it suffer because they’re all dying? is the archdemon a venture capitalist?
this is what i really want to know
I want to know why and where some of the enemies are carrying around furniture? Gold I can sort of understand, it's shiny? But the animals? Huh? Did they decide to eat gold, weapons, and armor?

Perfect.
These are the Davrin scenes from the IGN gameplay footage of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Davrin is voiced by Ike Amadi, who you may recognize as Javik from another Bioware game, Mass Effect 3. Assan is Davrin's Griffin.

Once everything's said and done and the Inquisitor and Cullen finally have some time to settle, their friends get them late wedding/housewarming gifts.
One is particularly amusing: a box from Leliana labeled, "Kindling."
Cullen is not allowed to use it as such until his wife has read every single one of the ridiculous Orlesian marriage inquiries/proposals it contains. On occasion, she finds a particularly good or forward one and reads it aloud, leaving him flustered and grumbling.
reblog if you’ve read fanfictions that are more professional, better written than some actual novels. I’m trying to see something
