It wasn’t unheard of for the night after a caper to end this way. With Carmen hunched over in the bathroom. Ivy, kneeling behind her, holding her hair and rubbing small circles on her back. Carmen Sandiego may have been a superhuman, but she was still that, a human, a person with a body and brain that had limits. She always tried to brush this off as simply “excess adrenaline,” but it was clear to anyone that this was what happened when her mind was finally able to catch up with her body, and fully process the miserable combination of panic and exhaustion.
