i saw @minglermail ‘s post about their art style and i thought i should say something about this. i’ve mentioned this before but don’t hate on someone’s art style and/or ignore or comment negatively on it because its “not the game’s style” or “its not cartoony.” someone shouldn’t have to change their own personal style, which is part of them and expresses who they are, to fit what’s “normal” or “preferred” in the community. I noticed this community is especially bad about this, i myself have gotten comments telling me i should draw in the games style or that they don’t like what i do because it doesn’t look like toontown. honestly, let people draw how they want, and give it some appreciation for god sakes? if they draw toons without gloves or with different muzzles? let them. if they draw darker colors and different clothes than whats seen in game? let them. there’s absolutely nothing wrong with some creativity and individuality other than whats expressed in game, and i hate that it’s looked down on. please show a little more appreciation for different styles. toontown art is toontown art.
