Ok so while we wait on the next update I decided to look through the previous panels to see if the compass(cuz wat else do we call it at this point) had the arrow moving or if this is an isolated incident and turns out YES it has been moving

Technically

Looking thorough the updates the compass at the top of the pages has been moving

Parts 3-17 is pointed at the heart

Page 18-38 is pointed at the diamond

Page 39-41 points at the spade

42- 48 points at the diamond again

Which leads us to the most recent update page 49 (technically 48 but this was part of a 2-in-one update)

The reason why i find this especially interesting is bc this is what we, the audience, sees and is not what the characters in universe see

This is where the “technically” comes in

Technically the compass has been moving for us but not for the characters as far as we can see

In almost every instance of the compass being in our view in the ‘in comic’ world its always pointing toward the heart

Save for a few outliers

But im not 100 percent sure if they were errors or if they were intentional considering how often the arrow on the compass is pointing to the heart. And from what I can tell he only time the compasses at the top of the page and in the comic line up is in part 19 when both point to the diamond

Now the symbols on the compass definitely correlate to different characters

The spade to mugman

The heart to chalice

And the diamond to cuphead

What I have trouble understanding is how any of this correlates to one another and where this this is even pointing because it is pointing to SOMETHING

actually creators can be wrong about their characters sometimes. for example sometimes a creator thinks their character has blue eyes

imo the term "walkable" in "walkable cities" should be understood to mean "wheelchair accessible" as well, not just literally "possible to walk in". the act of walking in a city doesn't automatically make it walkable
