Living in a world full of demons wasn't something really terrifying for me.
It can sound weird, but it is easy to live with it when you’ve been accustomed to the idea since birth—even though they haven’t always been here. If you ask anyone in their 70s or 80s, they still remember their youth, when they could leave their houses without worrying about having their throat bitten or being pursued by a little devil trying to steal their life force.
Older people say that the period of adaptation was very difficult, but, as the persistent species that we are, we survived — at least, most of us did. Living alongside these beings ceased to be such a complex matter within a few decades. To the average person, they’re just “exotic” creatures that show up from time to time.
Some demons are like… wild animals; we call them “irrational.” They're only dangerous if you're in the wrong place at the wrong time, or if you live in a place where there's a large concentration of them. These demons aren't very intelligent; they're here only to cause pain and torment through violence, but we’ve learned how to contain and avoid them.
Then there are others who are here only to spread chaos and persuade humans to commit sins; we call them the “rational.” These are the ones who steal your vital energy; they want to make you falter and give in to your most profane desires, your most violent emotions, or your most selfish ideas. Although they aren't aggressive, they are definitely the most dangerous, because they won't just attack you. They will charm you, and then, they will destroy you.
Since we were more wary of what we might encounter on the streets, sometimes they would try to corner us where they knew we were most vulnerable: in the safety of our homes. From a young age, I was taught to ignore any action I might see or sound I might hear if I suspected it was caused by a demon.
“If you hear a noise anywhere in the house, especially when you're all alone, don't go check it out. Go to bed, turn toward the wall, and stay under your covers. Don't move, and stay quiet. Whether it's a burglar or a demon, it's better if they think you're asleep.” The instructions my mother had given me throughout my life echoed in my head now, as I did exactly as I was told.It must have been around two in the morning, and I had heard footsteps in my house, inside my bedroom.
I’d been wide awake for a while and was trying to fall back asleep by scrolling through the endless feed of some social media platform. My eyelids were about to close when the sound of footsteps reached my ears. At first, I tried to convince myself that maybe it was just a piece of furniture creaking, or the sound of a tree swaying in the wind outside, anything that could calm my heart, which had raced the moment I heard it.
I've turned my phone off as discreetly as I could, luckily I was already turned to the wall, so I should just stay still. I closed my eyes tightly, not wanting to see even a glimpse of the creature wandering around my room right behind me.
I was scared, obviously, but I had to control my breathing. I took a deep breath slowly; I just needed to stay still, and it would go away—at least, that's what I hoped.
“Hi…” A shy, masculine voice reached my ears in a low tone, tinged with a hint of curiosity; it sounded like he wanted to check if I was awake before doing anything.
A silence lingered for a few minutes after that, and a wave of anxiety washed over me. Ok, a burglar wouldn’t try to greet me, so it was definitely a demon. Given how calm he was, he must be a rational demon, so he wouldn’t attack me from behind; he wanted to trick me into doing something. Alright, I just need to stay quiet, pretend he’s not there...
“I... Um...” he finally continued, making my blood run cold when I heard another step, probably closer to my bed. “Damn…”
I could hear him shifting restlessly and his breathing quickening—was he… nervous?
That's new, my Defense Against the Supernatural classes didn’t prepare me for this.
He seemed unsure of what to do, even without seeing him, I could feel his discomfort. I was tempted to turn around and just ask him what he wanted, but I was afraid that might be some kind of ploy to get my attention. Just to be safe, it was better to keep following the instructions to ignore.
The demon stayed there for about five or six minutes, just pacing around my room, as if he were anxious. Sometimes he’d approach my bed, perhaps to say something, but he’d give up halfway. He seemed somewhat interested in studying my room; I could feel his presence when he stopped beside my bed, perhaps looking at my nightstand and the posters on the wall. I didn’t hear him touching anything, though. At least he was a polite demon.
In what I imagine was a burst of courage, he sat at the end of my bed, right on the edge, shyly. I tried to suppress the tremor that threatened to spread through my body as he awkwardly crawled closer to me.
I could feel his gaze fixed on my back during those endless minutes of hesitation, as he seemed to be thinking about what to do next. My breathing started to get uneven, but at least it was still quiet.
Unfortunately, the instinct to flinch was stronger and faster than I could control when I felt him place his hand on my shoulder, probably to wake me up—in case I really was asleep. He jumped to his feet at my reaction, perhaps regretting trying anything in the first place.
“Sorry!” he said suddenly with a hint of urgency, and after that, any noise I could detect in the room vanished.
I waited a little longer, just to be sure before turning around, and when I did, I found my room empty.
I couldn’t sleep very well for the rest of the night; my mind was constantly on edge, worried he might show up again. It took a long time for my heart to finally settle down, letting me close my eyes and rest as much as I could, but I still woke up a few more times that night. I was already up before the alarm even went off, getting ready for another day at the office.
The day at work was really tough thanks to the poor night’s sleep, and it didn’t help much to have my coworkers asking nonstop questions about my supernatural story.
“Was he attractive?” Denki pretended to be focused on his work, typing nonsense on his computer keyboard while looking at me over the low office partition.
“That’s a very pertinent question” I heard Ochako laughing at the desk in front of me, also lifting her head slightly to look at me. “But seriously, was he attractive?”
“I don’t know, I didn’t turn around to look.” They both seemed disappointed with my answer, but they still wanted to know more.
“Shouldn’t you file a report with the Containment System?” Uraraka asked, now looking a little more concerned. “We need to let them know when there’s a demon on the loose in the area, right?”
It’s not exactly a law, but we’re instructed to always notify the government if we’re approached by a demon with malicious intent—basically, almost all of them. It’s a long process, with endless questions, and I wasn’t in the least bit in the mood for that today.
“It’s too much red tape… And what good would it do? I don’t even have any information about him.” I tried to focus on my work, ignoring the fear growing in my stomach as the time to leave approached. Normally it was the happiest time of my day, but now it’s a little… unsettling.
“I don’t think there’s any reason to report it. What are you going to say? ‘A demon looked at me, got nervous, and left.’ They’ll think you’re messing with them!” Kaminari laughed, and I allowed myself to smile at the validation of my laziness.
“What kind of demon do you think he was?” Asked Ochako, returning to her excitement.
“Since it was late at night, definitely an incubus.” Stated Denki, making me stop typing.
“I wonder if he’s new? I heard that when an incubus or a succubus comes to Earth for the first time, they get a little lost.”
Oh, that’s all I needed, a sex demon annoying me.
“If I were you, I would’ve given the poor guy a chance.” Uraraka said suddenly, in a tone far too serious for the absurdity that came out of her mouth.
“Would you have sex with an incubus?” I asked, incredulous, narrowing my eyes at the short-haired woman in front of me, who was smiling like an idiot.
“We have to be supportive on someone’s first day of work, right? Besides, succubus and incubus almost never kill; they just leave the person really tired. You could even get a doctor’s note!” She listed her arguments enthusiastically, and I couldn’t help but laugh at the words coming out of her mouth.
“We don’t even know if it was an incubus, or if he’s a novice.” I hurried to stifle my laughter before some supervisor caught us talking nonsense during work hours.
“I wish a pretty succubus would visit me today…” Denki muttered, finally turning back to his computer.
“You two are crazy.” I sighed, resting my hand on my forehead, accepting the distraction their silly banter brought to my mind.
Both of them were thoroughly entertained by the topic of “demons and sex,” and for the rest of the shift, they listed all the types of demons they considered most “fuckable.” I wanted to get annoyed by this silly topic, and by the fact that the two of them were putting work aside to talk about it, but I couldn’t help but laugh nonstop at the nonsense coming from them.
I’m still going to get a real scolding because of these two.
At least they managed to distract me and calm my restless heart a little on the way home.
I walked into my house feeling a bit chilly, as if I had the flu, mentally making a list of what I’d do before going to bed to ensure a good, peaceful night’s sleep: I’d take a nice hot shower to relieve the stress in my body, make a nice cup of tea to calm my mind, and put on my coziest pajamas, so I could fall asleep as quickly as possible…
And who said I managed to sleep?
I lay down around 10:00 p.m., it was almost midnight and I still hadn’t closed my eyes. I tried to calm down, telling myself that that demon would hardly come back, they never visit the same person twice, it must have already moved on to its next victim…
“Hi!” said the same voice as yesterday. Now sounding a little more confident. He didn’t wander around my room like last night; today he seemed more determined, and walked straight to my bed.
This time, I turned around. It wasn’t much, just enough to catch a glimpse of dark green hair, with two short, pointed horns sticking out from among the strands. I couldn’t see any more than that, since he shrank back and moved away when he saw that I’d stirred.
“... Er... Sorry!” from the tone of his voice, all the courage he must have mustered since yesterday vanished in a second.
I turned completely to look at him, but when I did, I found nothing; he had already vanished.
Unlike last night, today I wasn’t so terrified, just pensive. Why had he come back? If it didn’t work the first time, why try a second? Why didn’t he move on to the next human? And why didn’t he take advantage when he saw that I was awake and paying attention to him?
There were too many questions and not enough sleep; the result of the equation was another grumpy day.
I did a quick search on my way to work just to make sure my knowledge of demons was still up to date, and I remembered that usually, the only type of demon that keeps small horns into adulthood are the sex demons.
Sure enough, it was an incubus.
Denki and Ochako almost freaked out when I shared the updates, encouraging me to give the “possibly cute demon” who’d been visiting me a chance.
Once again, today the chatterbox wouldn’t let up. My coworkers came up with a thousand and one theories about why he might have returned, but their favorite was that he had taken a liking to me. They were certain he had grown attached to me and would come back again tonight.
Today, I got tired of it.I didn’t try to sleep; I just lay there waiting in my usual position, facing the wall. I wasn’t quite sure of my own intentions, whether I should beg him to stop appearing to me, or whether I should just give him once and for all what he’d been seeking on these nights.
At least having my energy drained by a sex demon would guarantee me a three-day sick leave, according to my research.
Around 11:00 p.m., I started hearing timid footsteps in my room; he was coming earlier and earlier.
“Hi…” by this point, he already sounded almost defeated, as if he no longer believed in himself.
This time, I didn’t even bother pretending to be asleep, I just turned completely toward that being.
The first thing I saw was the tip of his tail twitching restlessly, while he took a few steps back in fright. My gaze immediately fell on his body, lingering longer than I intended as I analyzed his figure, which was, to say the least, handsome.
He was wearing much less revealing clothes than I had imagined an incubus would wear, just loose-fitting pants and a top that looked like a short-sleeved compression shirt. Not only is he polite, but he’s well-behaved, too.
Now I could see his beautiful green eyes wide with fright, but what caught my attention most was right below them: the scar that ran across half of his angelic face. My eyes inevitably drifted down his very well-sculpted body, taking in all the scars on his exposed arms.
And oh my god, those arms. He could easily crush my head with them.
He really was attractive. The scars added an extra charm to his strong body, leaving me with a growing desire to discover what else lay beneath that shirt that perfectly outlined every defined muscle—perhaps even beneath those baggy pants, which unfortunately left nothing to feast my eyes on.
A hottie, if I may say so…I think Denki and Ochako’s nonsense is really getting to me.
He seemed embarrassed by my staring at his body. Once the initial shock wore off, he looked away and took a step away from me, probably looking for an escape route to get away from his embarrassment again.
“No! Come back here!” I didn’t mean to hurt him, but the only thing I could grab and pull to stop him from disappearing was his tail.
“No! I’m embarrassed!” He lost his balance when I pulled him, and almost fell to the ground. When he recovered, he grabbed the part of his tail closest to his body and pulled hard, trying to make me let go.
“Tell me, what do you want?!” Seeing that the tail was much tougher than I’d thought, I gave it another tug.
“It’s just… I-I’m an incubus, and…”
“Oh, don’t tell me, if you hadn’t said, I’d have thought you were the Bigfoot” I allowed myself to smile mockingly, letting go of the tail and ending that tug-of-war, hoping he wouldn’t try to run away again. “Okay, so you want to have sex with me?”
He squirmed, uncomfortable, but showed no signs of running away. We stared at each other for long seconds, and I couldn’t help but find it adorable how he shrunk back nervously, trying to look smaller.
I took a deep breath, remembering Uraraka’s theory. Maybe he really was a novice… If that were true, he shouldn’t pose a threat to my well-being.
“Did you come to Earth recently?” I asked in a whisper, straightening up to sit on the bed.
“Y-Yeah… You’re the first human I’ve ever visited…” He seemed surprised by my observation, as if it were hard to figure out.
“Dude, that’s your only job.”
“I know! But cut me some slack! I’m new at this!”
“Can’t you, like, enter people’s dreams?”
“That’s… Very immoral.” He seemed offended by the idea, crossing his arms with a serious expression.
“You’re a demon! Screw morality!” I tried to stifle a laugh, staring at him with a slight hint of mockery.
“I’m a demon, not a monster!” He exclaimed, furrowing his brow even more. His chubby cheeks jutted out further as he pressed his lips together.
His gaze softened when I let out a low chuckle at his reaction, and now it was his turn to scrutinize me—and my turn to feel flustered under his gaze.
“Aren’t you afraid?” he asked after a few seconds of staring me up and down.
“You stopped being scary to me yesterday.” I laughed and rested my arms on the bed, more relaxed.
He seemed unsure whether he wanted to leave or stay a little longer, and I motioned for him to sit in the chair at my desk, curious to learn more about him.
Izuku—I found out his name after talking for a while—told me that he had recently completed a sort of “training” to learn how to seduce and persuade humans, and upon finishing this “course,” he was granted permission to roam the earth and steal energy from as many humans as he could.
As I understood it, I figured it was something like: he finished college and automatically landed a job in the field.
I learned a little more about the sex demons, too. Sleeping with humans was indeed a job for them, and the payment was the drained life energy, which served as a kind of currency among the demons. I’m starting to think they’re all too much like humans.
We didn’t talk much that night, unfortunately; sleep got the better of me, and the incubus said goodbye with a shy smile plastered on his adorable face, promising to come back the following night to try again.
And he never stopped coming back.
As the days went by, we began to form a bond of friendship. Sometimes he’d show up with a different approach, trying to be provocative in some way, but it always ended with the two of us laughing.
And most of all, sometimes he didn’t even seem to want to try to do anything, he just… wanted to see me.
Izuku was great company; I quickly found myself charmed by his witty and sweet personality. He proved to be a very helpful person, always eager to lend a hand. Once, I complained that I’d have to wake up early on the weekend to do a deep clean of my house, and he insisted so much that I let him get a head start on some of the work for me, so I wouldn’t get too tired, according to him.
I woke up the next day and realized there was nothing left to tidy up. I guess his love language is acts of service.
Even though I’m not sleeping very well at night—since Midoriya only shows up at night—I’m not as grumpy at work anymore; I even handle my tasks happily, excited about the moment I’ll get home and wait for that shy incubus to arrive.
At that point, Ochako and Denki weren’t just rooting for us to have sex—they wanted to see us married right away.
We tried not to get distracted from the main reason Izuku was there, and I tried to encourage him as much as I could. Words that I thought would encourage him to loosen up more, increasingly daring touches on his body… But that always ended with him rolling around in embarrassment on my bed.
I sometimes felt that deep down, he wanted me to take the lead, to take the initiative and rip our clothes off once and for all. I also felt a little desire for that, but if it were like that, what would it be like with the next human? It would start all over again; he needed to get over that shyness, one way or another.
I set just one rule: I would have sex with him on the day he managed to say something even remotely sexual without nearly fainting from embarrassment.
“I was born into the wrong species…” He muttered, getting up from the swivel chair in front of my desk after spending a few minutes rocking back and forth.
“I realized that a few weeks ago,” I said, lying on my bed, focused on the puzzle game I’d just downloaded onto my phone. “Come here, little devil” I said, reaching out my arm so he could lie down next to me.
Izuku accepted the invitation and settled into my embrace, resting his head on my chest to watch me play.
We’d grown really close over the past few weeks; I’d discovered he was quite a needy person. I am too, so it worked out great for both of us.
“I’m still going to do it!” He lifted his head to look into my eyes, blushing at the closeness of our faces, but with a firm and determined look.
“You sure will, baby.” I felt my face getting hot too, but I kept that mischievous smile on my face as I ran my fingers through his hair.
“I’ll do it tomorrow!” He sat up suddenly, and I followed his lead. “You’ll see! I’m going to say a dirty word and sit down…” As usual, his voice trailed off, and he couldn’t finish the sentence.
“You’re going to sit down? Where?” I laughed at his excitement, but I couldn’t help teasing him. Midoriya’s eyes followed me as I slid my hand down my torso until I reached one of my thighs, where I gave it a light squeeze. “Here?”
I saw him take a deep breath as if processing what he was seeing, and the blush on his face quickly intensified. However, unlike usual, his gaze didn’t waver.
“I’ll be back tomorrow.” Izuku stood up hurriedly, not letting me say a word before disappearing in the blink of an eye. I’m still going to figure out how he does that.
I lay back down on the bed to wait for sleep to return, continuing to play while my mind wandered over all sorts of topics—mostly about Izuku, actually.
Over the past few days, I’ve noticed that he’s started wearing clothes that are a little less modest than usual. His baggy pants evolved into shorts, which soon became so tiny that they barely contained his plump thighs. Now, I can feast my eyes on it.
He never stopped wearing compression shirts, it seems his closet is full of them, and I imagine he’s noticed how disappointed I get when he wears one that covers his arms, since for a while now, he’s always worn shirts that leave them exposed.
And oh my god, those arms…
When Izuku seems a little more needy than usual and hugs me so tight I almost can’t breathe, I don’t know if the heat rising in my body comes from the joy of his affection, or if it’s simply my blood rushing too fast to a specific area.
I squirmed, trying to push the thought out of my head. Not now, [Name], it’s time to sleep, not to jerk off!
Although… Tomorrow’s Saturday, isn’t it? I don’t have to wake up early… Right?
I woke up around 10:00, I guess. I tried to shift my position, still with my eyes closed, but I soon realized there was something very heavy on my lap.
I opened my eyes with a slight start, but quickly calmed down when I saw the green hair I knew so well.
It wasn’t often that Midoriya sat on my lap; whenever he did, it was just an innocent gesture of affection. But today… Judging by the serious look on his face, he didn’t seem to have very innocent intentions.
“Izuku?” I smiled at him, resting my hand on his thigh. “Why did you come now? This is the first time you’ve shown up during the day.”
“Because if I waited until nightfall, I’d lose my nerve…” He looked away, but still seemed more determined than usual. His tail swayed slowly behind him, so he wasn’t anxious either. It was a huge step forward.
“So…?” I raised my eyebrows, still not fully convinced he’d be able to do it.
“I… I want…” He took a deep breath and looked me in the eyes as he leaned in, resting his strong hands on either side of my head, making my smile falter. “I want you to fuck me. Now.”
It took me a few seconds to process what he’d said. I thought he’d fall back down beside me out of embarrassment, as always, but his steady gaze never left me. After the brief shock, I allowed myself to smile, proud.
“So?” He sat up straight, but didn’t take his eyes off mine.
“So…” I sat up suddenly, almost out of breath from all the excitement. “Now we’re going to fuck.”
I slowly brought my face closer to his, testing the distance that was still unfamiliar to us, and waited for him to continue. It didn’t take long for him to press his lips against mine, starting with a simple touch, but it soon evolved into a gentle kiss.
The rhythm of the kiss picked up slowly, we took our time just to get used to each other’s mouths. But as our desire grew, so did the hunger and intensity.
I sighed when his tongue entered my mouth without asking permission, I brought one hand to the back of his neck, lightly squeezing his short hair to try in some way to control the pace he was setting, which was getting faster and faster.
Izuku gently pushed me so I’d lie back down on the bed, without breaking the kiss, which was already completely draining what little breath I had left.
When he finally took pity on my human lungs, Midoriya let me breathe. I felt his low laughter brush against my face as he planted light kisses on my cheek, amused by how I struggled to draw air into my lungs.
“After it, it’s my turn.” he said in a breath, lifting his torso to look at me with a lust I never imagined I’d see in his eyes.“Turn for what?” I smiled at the sight, biting my lower lip as I brought my hands to squeeze his ample thighs with gusto.
“To fuck you.” he said, slowly rolling his hips, pressing himself against my crotch. I couldn’t think straight; I just nodded frantically.
“Promise?” I asked, still out of breath, smiling as I ran my hands over every part of him I could reach. My answer was just another fierce kiss.
