Recently, there have been cases of Omnics around the world, causing malfunctions in their system like sudden overheating, short-circuiting and an omnic analogue to āhallucinationsā. Since its rise, this virus has been referred to asĀ āthe diseaseā and people around the world debate whether this is earned karma from the Omnic Wars or if there should be more resources put on fighting this plague.
Konoe - An ex-Overwatch agent. He now leads a small investigators group along with Tokino to find aĀ ācureā for the Disease. An Opposition group targets his labs constantly, believing that this Disease is just earned karma for the Omnics, so no cure should be investigated, forcing him to become a nomad and living as a pariah. His main weapon is a modified gun that reproduces either harmful or healing melodies that his father designed and he refined.
Asato - His creativity and talent of bending hard light earned him a seat as an architect in the Vrishkar organizations. His dedication towards creating new cities with lots of green areas is unmatched, but his loyalty is questioned since heās silent and no one really knows what heās truly thinking. Secretly, he leaks new technology and resources for Konoeās cause. His main weapon is a hard-light-crafted broadsword.
Bardo - An ex-Blackwatch agent. He used to lead a squad with his best pupil, Rai, until a certain mission before Overwatchās disband, where Rai was thought dead. Since then, he has lived undercover with survivorās guilt and hints of PTSD. Since reuniting with Konoe, Bardo has offered him a place to hide and as much help as possible with his investigation for the cure. He wields a six-shooter gun and heās deadly accurate with it.
Rai - An ex-Blackwatch agent. During his Blackwatch times, he used to be one of the best intelligence agents ever been, but after a certain mission, he was kidnapped by a terrorist group, where he was subject to brainwash. The objective was to use Rai as a spy inside of Overwatchās quartels, but Rai turned against his captors and killed them all. Since then, and without an Overwatch to come back to, he now lives as a bounty hunter with a deadly bloodlust. His weapons are throwing knives, which heās rumored to lick when theyāre coated in blood.
Leaks - An ex-Overwatch leader and currently a Talon hacker. Heās the anonymous creator of the āDiseaseā, a virus that creates orders on any intelligent mechanical object to abandon some key functions, causing them this group of symptons and, eventually, a terminal shutting down of the system. Talon uses this virus as a mean to weaken some of the biggest military systems and mechs, thought, the personal reasons behind the existence of this virus, Leaks has never told them.
Shui - An ex-Overwatch leader and Konoeās father. Back in the time where Overwatch was at its peak, there were stories told of a team of two designers unmatched by any other. One, a mechanic, the other, a programmer. Together, they leaded Overwatchās Technology Department, and itās rumored they were the ones that first created the artificial human intelligence that now all Omnics carry with them. But since Overwatchās disband, the mechanic was nowhere to be found, his last creation being the melodies of healing that now his only son carry with him.
