Oh god it was so…..hot.
The scowl that was on Izumi’s face was deeper than than a 60 foot deep ocean. Everything about this trip was pissing her off. The first and biggest discomfort was the weather.
Major temperature changes certainly wasn’t her forte. 70 degrees was perfect to her,and her mood always worsened during the summer and winter months. Being smack dab in the middle of the desert may as well be the same as being deep within the mountains during winter which certainly wasn’t enjoyable at all.
Her decision to travel to Xing had to do with her sudden interest in her ancestry. Her father had been a full-blooded Xingnese leaving her being half. She’d been wondering if she had any live relatives in Xing for quite a while, but only recently decided to go there and actually check.
The only thing she had to do is get across the desert.
It appeared to be an ant.
No...
From where she stoop, on a pillar amongst the ruins of Xerxies, the halfway point between the Land of Xing, and Amestris, everything looked small under her sharp eyes. A breeze came from her right, unsettling the ties to her mask, but not damaging her perfect stance on the small pillar on which she stood. The heat did not bother her. For she had grown accustomed to it over the years. The many layers she wore not being a burden to her any longer. But the swet budding on her brow caused a slight annoyance. Her eye twitched slightly. The patrol of the desert always seemed pointless to her. What idiot would even try to-
Dark eyes watched the small figure approaching the ruins, and behind her mask she frowned slightly. As it drew closer, she could see it was clearly not an ant.
The figure standing on the pillar was gone in a flash, merely becoming a black blue along the bright blue, cloudless sky.
