I mean, the hair I definitely think will go great but… I just don’t think anyone, no matter how qualified, is gonna be able to jazz up my chewed excuses for fingernails. You know? There’s just no time.
M’am, are you okay? Time for what?
dr-obedientprince·:
Maybe. Be thankful we always have bottled in the fridge. [ walks into the room with what is probably the fifteenth shirt he’s tried on ] What about this one? Is this one good? Obviously it is, but for this dinner at the Montgomerys? Andy hasn’t texted me back yet and I’m freaking out.
Quick! What designer is this? You have ten seconds, go!
I say this with all of the love in my heart or whatever, but if you ask me that one more time, I will scream. [ an exasperated sigh ] It’s great. Just as dinner-ready as all the others. Anyway, Andy’s probably busy or something. You don’t need to get weird about it, you know that, right?
Please stop, oh my g-- Tom Ford. Can I go wait in my room now?
stayuptil-dawn·:
I didn’t think asking if you wanted to walk my dog with me was weird… but if you don’t want to, you can always say no. We can get slushes from the gas station if you’d like?
It’s not weird-weird. Just regular being-in-this-town weird. You, acting like we’re friends when I keep insisting that we’re not, weird. Not to mention, I have no idea what you’re talking about. Wh-- Why would we go to a gas station?
blair-fisher·:
Hmm. I mean, most people here aren’t what I’d consider normal, but yeah, people aren’t as perky-happy as they are normally. I’ll give you that.
So there’s no real explanation for it? That’s can’t be sustainable. How do you people just live like this?
alison-halliday·:
I’m sorry to hear that. I know high school can be a crazy time, but if anything in particular…Well, my office door is always open.
Thanks, but no thanks. Uh, no offense. It’s not personal or anything, but I’d rather not? ... Yeah.
joeysalvatored·:
Water supply, air supply, whatever the hell they put in that pie everyone’s always talking about at Rhonda’s. Or Lyndsy’s. Or whatever other place they named after the owner. This town’s full of crap.
That can’t be legal. --- Oh my god. Is that why everyone is always being quote-unquote nice in my general direction? The pie made them do it?
... Hey, do I know you?
sweet--salvatore·:
Okay, so, not to completely disregard everything you just said, but is that actually Fiji water in your hands right now? Where did you even get that? Pretty sure the fanciest water we have here is Dasani.
Um... My fridge? I didn’t open it and it’s just--- I mean, it’s bottled water. If I give it to you, will you stop looking at me like that?
Is Dad gonna---? Yikes. I hope that means we can go home now.
connie-derosiers:
“Yes, I would love to help you. I really would. But, like, the thing is, I can’t. We only sell records, and Justin Beiber’s latest just isn’t on vinyl. I don’t make the rules. Maybe you should talk to his label and agents. Or the big guy himself. Don’t know what to tell you. Now, I’m sorry, but I have math homework I need to do.”
“By the big guy himself, did you mean god or the actual walking, talking Justin Bieber? I feel like one is easier to reach than the other, depending on how you look at it. Anyway, you can go back to your algebra or whatever it is. Have you guys ever considered an online catalog? Scouring an entire store for the exact copy I want is kind of obnoxious.”
Everyone around here is always so weird, but it’s like today made everyone lose their minds. Maybe there’s something in the water supply.

Biography ➜
❝MUSIC WASHES AWAY FROM THE SOUL THE DUST OF EVERYDAY LIFE.❞
If you had checked in on Landon Callaghan a year ago, you would not believe he was the same kid that you see now. Did he dramatically change his look? Undergo a Taylor-Lautner-Style transformation? Nope. You see, before Paige Vanderbilt and Duke Callaghan battled their way through a very messy divorce, they were the perfect family. At least that was how Landon had always seen them. His dad had always been hands-on when they were growing up, getting muddy playing football and building treehouses and while his mom wouldn’t dare ruin her manicure, he loved her. He was kind of a momma’s boy but again, that was then. He grew up never having to want for anything money or attention wise and yes, he does totally know the damn difference between Fiji and tap water. Landon was involved in just about every extra curricular you could name and he had more tutors than you could count. He was learning how to play instruments, scoring goals and everyone was always telling him he was going to grow up to be just as handsome as his father one day, if not more. His father would always disagree with the ‘more’ part. Jokingly, probably. Either way, for a kid his age, he didn’t have anything to complain about but on occasion he still found something. It was his right was a pre-teen after all.
Then everything started to go wrong. His mom was acting weird, secretive… Taking one too many trips back to Havensdale Valley- where her parents lived- and not picking up her cell and she always picked up her cell. Everything came crashing down around Landon when his dad found his mom in a…compromising position, with Havensdale’s worst weatherman George Weston. So began the arguments, the shouting and screaming, the D-word and before he knew it, Landon had completely dropped off the face of his social life’s map. He quit his teams, stopped texting back his friends and honestly? The only time he felt any kind of solace was when he was blasting his music over his parents’ yelling. Music became an escape. It became the only thing that got him through the mess of emotion he was trying to deal with, that he was trying to pretend didn’t affect him (for his baby sister’s sake, obviously). After what felt like years of petty back and forth, his dad won the custody battle and Landon didn’t think twice before declaring he was going to live with his dad and there was nothing his “mom” could do about it.
Of course it had to be Havensdale they moved to. That alone only added to the attitude problem he’d been sporting all throughout the divorce proceedings and while he was happy to be away from his mom (right?), he wasn’t…happy. Plus he had to deal with his grandparents being so close by and his pompous cousins Louis Vanderbilt and Léone Vanderbilt. Since starting school at Havensdale High for that authentic small town life experience or whatever, he’s been bombarded with warm welcomes which he just does not have the patience for anymore. If it had been a year ago, he’d have been the star of that school, you know? The new kid turned town favourite, a founding family member and prodigal son returned. But it’s not a year ago. The biggest annoyance at the moment is that Jamie McArthur, Annie Porter, Keith Salvatore and Dawn Hinley have apparently decided among themselves that’s he’s gonna be the newest member of their nerd squad and he honestly just…cannot. For one thing, that Jamie listened to way too much Taylor Swift and country pop to be even remotely healthy which he’s always happy to debate on, even though he isn’t interested in their friendship. At this point, all Landon Callaghan wants its to be left alone in his room with his music turned up too loud as a big ‘screw you’ to everyone in Havensdale Valley. Especially the stupid weatherman.
Additional Information ➜
Landon is human, he’s a Vanderbilt (technically) and a Callaghan, and he honestly doesn’t have any more room on his plate so please don’t even mutter the word ‘supernatural’ to him. The only contact he gets with the supernatural world is when he’s shooting zombies in a video game.
He is entirely determined to not get used to this place. He doesn’t want to like it and even though he chose to be with his dad, even though he’s on his dad’s side, he still doesn’t want to seem like he might be happily adjusting. Havensdale sucks, okay?
What’s worse is that since he’s technically a Vanderbilt, he’s technically a Founding Family member and apparently obligated to attend stupid town fairs and pageants and cut ribbons probably. As if he has the time.
But okay, if there’s one good thing about being so closely related to those people it’s…the Montgomerys. See, his dad has been hanging out with Andrea Parker a lot lately and she is…wow. Just, wow. So he’s been invited to the Montgomery home for dinner more than once now and call it superficial but Elena, Ava and Faye Montgomery are all also really wow. Even if Faye is a bit much and probably betrothed to Louis.
With school practically done, you’d think he’d be a little cheerier but knowing this town… He probably won’t get a minute of peace. He’s probably going to have to get several locks for his bedroom door but even then, he wouldn’t put it past Jamie McArthur to climb up his drain pipe and invite him over to hang out or whatever.
And finally… The worst piece of news (he thinks). His mom, Paige Vanderbilt, the one who was supposed to be miles away at home- his old home- getting her nails done? She’s suddenly shown back up in Havensdale, currently residing at his gandparents’ place. Probably here to see that weatherman. And anyways, Landon doesn’t even care so. Whatever.
