Live #Seghk | Last week I took a walk around #SignalHill and brought my Camera. I have different uses for new and original stock footage.. But I ran into this stranger, and I found him just like this. No rehearsals were involved lol. We started talking and he told me how him and his crew have this word called #Seghk (don't ask me to pronounce it). Basically it means to live life, while inspiring others, at least that was my interpretation. These values run alongside mine so it's only right that I posted this photo. I hope you don't mind homie! I woke up this morning and my spirit just feels inclined to write about something. May the purpose reveal itself. This may be deep and scattered. You have been warned: I'm in a place in my life where I feel very fortunate to have options in my life. I have no ties to particular responsibilities or commitments except the ones I have chosen myself. With that said you'd think I'm living a pretty easy life. About a year ago I left the nest and came to California because I felt the need to seek what I was looking for.. I've experienced a lot of things and lived through the closet #Hell I've ever been to... "You living the dream Percy!" Sorry if I misled you, but I've had some nightmares too. Daily I would thank #God for the blessings and the lessons. And often I would be angry with Him, I would Doubt Him, and I would put my will before His.. I'm usually so inclined to share His Word, share His being with others but lately I can't do that because of the lacking in my Faith or what I believe to be #Truth.. Everything looks so differently when your foundation is rattled.. You start to second guess yourself and your goals.. It's easy to get confused sometimes.. I want to make sure I'm choosing the best option.. Am I on the right path? Am I'm in the best position to help others? I guess only time will tell, but as always the future is exciting. My life is "Interesting". I removed myself from financial security. I jumped in head first to pursue my dreams. Sometimes I feel like I'm falling, and other times just staying afloat. Just barely making it by. I'm constantly questioning myself, wondering when I'll get my wings. "Was this worth it?", "Is it time to shut it down?" THEN I look at this picture, and so much of that experience suddenly returns the emotions and thoughts that went along with it. Cubicle #1046. That's exactly what I felt like, a number. Trapped in a box. A rat on a wheel, tracking my own footprints EVERY week. No real voice in the business' direction and a slim opportunity for growth. I was making me some money over there! Yet the will to work for someone else continued to fade. I never was the one to chase money. My dreams always meant more and I'd be doing myself a disservice if I put someone else's first. It's funny because the struggle within that cubicle was the one I could no longer endure. This struggle, the one toward my heart's desires, is so worth it. I can't go back to Cubicle #1046.
