the sky was clad in grey while the clouds were doubling up on each other menacingly. the smell of incoming rain lingered heavy in the air. if meredy wouldn’t hurry up she wouldn’t be able to avoid an unintentional rain shower. yet she hadn’t found natsu, who headed ahead to do a recce on the environment. she doubt that she would find him anytime soon when the rain would start once.
with her face deep in the hood of her coat the rain started pouring down from heaven. these cold raindrops were rolling off of her in sheets sending a slight shiver through her body. even though the rain already blurred her vision yet she tried to look into the distance, orienting herself as those emerald eyes of her spotted a small wooden shack where she could seek shelter until the rain would have died down a little.
when she removed the hood of her coat she brushed some tangled strands of hair out of her face. it did not look like as if the sky would brightened up anytime soon. as a soft sigh parted her lips she suddenly noticed some odd noises which broke through the loud sound of the pouring rain. when she turned around to have a better look at the environment she caught sight of something ... someone familiar who was standing in the pouring rain.
when she tried to step forward to get closer to him she suddenly came to an unexpected halt. was ... he crying? as she started to listen more closely & tried to ignore the sounds of the heavy rain around her meredy finally recognized a deep sobbing which came right away from natsu himself.
her voice broke down. yet she couldn’t even feel her feet which started walking right up to him all automatically. even though the rain was still pouring down & started to drench her clothes she did not mind it at all. she did not slow down until she reached up on him, wrapping her arms around his soaky body from behind, while she leaned her forehead against his shoulder.

a soft smile crossed her pale lips as she cast down her eyes. she could feel how his body was shaking from the upcoming sobbing which she tried to comfort with her sudden embrace. she wouldn’t ask for his reasons of crying. even strong people like him had weak moments. but in the end --- he wasn’t alone.
