Another reason I think Aziraphale is going to fall is his angelic clothes. They seem to really represent what is guiding the angels. Heart driven angels wear warm tones and the rule-driven angels wear cool tones. S1 Aziraphale's heaven outfit is pure white on the inside with an ever so slightly warm white suit. In S3 his outer suit is very dark grey but his tie is still warm white. I think the ties represent where the heart lies. "I was trying to do the right thing," he says in the trailer. He wants to the right thing on the inside but he's prioritizing the rules in trying to do it.
Also, I love thinking about the clothes like this because it makes Jesus' outfit so freaking interesting. Also also what is UP with Sandalphon's outfit. And perhaps most curious: Gabriel's purple freaking tie!
In the book there's a line where Crowley remembers that God almost never gave a straight answer to his questions and mostly just smiled. Here where Gabriel's teasing Michael saying "I said you could ask." it reminded me so much of that vibe. Gabriel is never this goofy, and only even gets close when he's doing some part of the plan with his purple eyes on.
So if the degree of Gabriel's eyes' purpleness is a reflection of how much God is in control of him or being channeled, that means that God sent Jim to Aziraphale - not Gabriel. That's why he's so surprised that he didn't manage to get to Beelzebub.
But it also made me curious - taking away Gabriel's memory shouldn't have stripped him of his angelic power. But when he accidentally channels God it hurts him. He says his head's not built for it, which shouldn't be the case. I think Gabriel's brokenness as vessel of God is still a key part of the story and that they have to go to Alpha Centauri in the Bentley to find him / fix him. Or at least ask him some questions.
I know absolutely nothing about the Talmud, but I was curious and found this translation from EzraBrand.com - I feel like the scene from the trailer is a direct reference to the story of Aher. I said in another post that I think Aziraphael is at least, in part, Aher and that a major story arc here will be the Metatron interfering with Aziraphale so that he ultimately fails and is denied Heaven.

I wanted to read about the Metatron and found Ezrabrand and their translations of the Talmud. There is the part where Elisha ben Avuya becomes Aher after seeing the Metatron sitting as a scribe in God's area and mistaking him for an authority. I'm not a scholar at all and this is my first time reading the story, but in Aher's story the metatron is punished, then takes it out on Aher and messes with him. Aher then falls into sin and the court of Heaven decides he cannot be sent to hell because of how good he was before, but cannot be sent to heaven because of recent misdeeds. In the live trailer discussion on Youtube someone said they think the scene in the Metatron's office is a flashback and that's how Crowley fell -- but I think it's Aziraphale / Aher and the Metatron is mad at him. Although there is some reason to suspect it's Crowley the Metatron hates but I'm locked into believing Crowley's Job.
This is the first part of a two-part series.
My pet theory is that Crowley is actually the real the subject of the bet. That even the trial of Job might have been God's way of showing him how to pass his own test. Crowley doesn't even really know why he fell (sauntered vaguely downward) like Job doesn't know why God had abandoned him. Even if it's just an artistic parallel, Crowley's lost everything he's ever held dear. I think since Job's reward came specifically after he talked to God, Crowley's actually going to try to find a way to find/talk to God and bypass the Metatron. He's the only character that ever address God directly in the series, the Metatron is a shady jerk and the only angel who ever actually spoke with God's voice is now on Alpha Centauri. I think the whole getting the real children back will matter too. Maybe Aziraphale fails and Crowley passes, but Crowley rejects his first offered reward in favour of the life and friendship he had already. So that scene where it has Crowley happy-crying after Aziraphale says "I was trying to do the right thing" isn't about him explaining why he went to heaven but it's Aziraphale realizing where he went wrong and then Crowley saving him.

The Bee Box
by Lowell Parker
In this small box, my love, you’ll not find a ring, but instead, a brave little bee. He’ll be dead by morn, having given his life defending his flowers against me. I felt his sting while picking the small purple pansies growing wild along the roadside, in hopes of an afternoon bouquet for you. And I grieved the sting, more for him than me, knowing full well the price he paid for my small pain. And I allowed him his victory, leaving his flowers as a memory, and brought you instead this brave little bee, who proves there is love even in the smallest of things.
Give me shelter.
People... watch out for these things!
The saying applies with more than usual force here: if you're not paying for it, you're not the customer: you're the product being sold. (And maybe you're the product being sold even if you are paying for it.)
DO NOT MAKE YOUR PERSONAL PHYSICAL DATA AVAILABLE TO PEOPLE WHO COULD THEN SELL IT TO THOSE INVESTED IN USING IT TO SURVEIL YOU AND POTENTIALLY CHARGE YOU WITH CRIMES.
I live for the parallels!!!

I wanted to share this beautiful Crowley art from Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/goodomens/comments/gilumj/you_know_everything_is_going_to_sht_when_a_demon/#lightbox
And in the vein of that post ... Do any of the other celestial beings else actually pray in Good Omens? I know Aziraphale sort of does when he wants to talk to a higher authority, but that seems more procedural and there are official channels.
For all his independence, Crowley seems like the only one who talks to God as if she's listening.
It also strikes me as odd when he says "I know you have to test them ...". - Who is being tested here? In S1 it hardly seems like the human race is being tested. Sometimes I wonder if it's the angels who are being tested here.
