1am in the freezing rain on a rooftop in Brooklyn on a Monday when nothing has gone right: “Hello Kate Bishop. I knocked that man out for you. I also brought you a pretty rug for your floor, from Kazakhstan. Because, it’s like you live in a very sad garage. You need color.” 

6am on a Friday, sitting on a chair at the foot of Kate’s bed eating a pop-tart and staring at her. Kate womanfully does not scream when she wakes. “You want a pop-tart? It’s yummy. Also, look, I was on the ebay and I found a set of Flintstone glasses. I remember Flintstones, they were funny. I like the dinosaur. Here, I got them for you because you don’t have any glasses. How do you drink things? It’s very weird. You are very weird, Kate Bishop.” 

8pm on a Wednesday. Kate would have let her in if she’d just buzzed the door: “Why would I do that, Kate Bishop? You have stairs right up to your window. It’s much easier. Here, I bought you this thing, it’s called a chia pet? It’s a plant to brighten up in here. It’s adorable, right? Like a little hedgehog.”
