Okay I just remembered what my favourite episode of House is.
WILSON. That episode that is fucking CALLED WILSON. Why is it called Wilson? Because it's about Wilson seems to be the obvious answer, but that seems like a surface level answer, because like, there are only two episodes named after characters, Wilson and Chase, the fact that they chose to have two episodes out of so many that are the only two that follow a different naming convention seems like it means something, but I digress.
"Because if you die, I'm alone." That's my favourite quote. But that's jumping ahead.
There's so much emotional journey for Wilson in this episode. He like learns to not be too people pleasing when he tells the guy finally his name is James. Maybe that's the similarity, Chase and Wilson are both episodes about that specific character coming to a realization of some kind. My brain is not working right now to form coherent thoughts idk.
But like
The person you want when you're dying isn't the same as the person you want when you're living. That's what the guy says to him.
But Wilson's is.
Because he wanted House when he could be dying on the table. And he still wanted House now he was living.
That's all I can think
Oh wait and also the guy says "James wilson told me I had five months to live, five months later I didn't die" and he had and has cancer and he's a Wilson allegory and he was given roughly the same life expectancy as Wilson and survived it and then another death sentence and survived it again and he's Wilson's patient and THE EPISODE IS CALLED WILSON so yeah I don't think Wilson dies at the end of House.
my roman empire is that one scene from dps that i entirely dreamt up and thought was real for like 2 whole months and only realized wasnt when i genuinely couldnt find it in the book OR the original script

When new to the fandom, I hadn't yet read any fanfic and had hardly engaged with fandom at all, I fell asleep while reading the book. Thing is, I have extremely vivid dreams so I convinced myself it was real
I dreamt up this scene of Neil and Todd walking together across the campus during the fall, like it would have been shortly after the desk set scene.
They had this dialogue that went something like
Todd: The leaves are so pretty at Welton.
Neil: You should see it when it snows, it's so beautiful!
Todd: Yeah?
[Neil grinned and nodded]
Neil: You know what? Once it snows, we'll go on a walk together again. I'll show you all my favorite spots, just the two of us.
Todd: I'd like that a lot :-)
Then they walked back closer to the main building and Charlie stuck his head out the window calling Neil to come inside, I forget for why, but then Neil turned to Todd and said he'll catch him later. The "camera" just held on Todd for a bit while he watched Neil run off and he had this calm, adoring, fond look on his face.
So for two months I thought this was not only an actual scene, but that Todd saying "It's so beautiful" was a direct callback to Neil's words.
I mentioned it to someone and sounded crazy so I went to cheek my book for proof. Obviously it WASN'T THERE and then things made a lot more sense... I flipped through the pages thrice and then just used the keyword search on my digital file of the novel. Nothin', nada, zilch, bupkis 💔 but I thought it was neat
I don't know how to explain this but when House drugs Wilson while Cuddy is around he just lets Wilson's head smack on the table, but when he drugs Wilson when they're at the hotel he knocks over a glass making sure to catch Wilson's head before it hits the table and lower it gently and the only difference between these situations is that there's no one around because House doesn't like showing people just how much he loves Wilson because it feels like a weakness or something for people to get at him for which is probably because his dad hates displays of weakness.

Neil saying "nothing" when asked what he feels actually drives me insane. He was numb. He was tired. He was hurt and he was sick of being hurt and he felt nothing anymore. His father took "nothing" to mean "nevermind." His father truly never understood him even to the very last word that Neil ever spoke to him.
“oh, kutner reminds me so much of neil!☺️”
i was then shot 57 times.
(just like them… i guess… ha.😭.)
Neil hates his father sometimes, he truly does.
When it feels like there's a shadow constantly hovering behind his back, judging his every move. When he knows he cannot speak his mind on anything because his father will disagree and get angry. When he just wishes he could run away because being under the same roof as the man feels suffocating.
And yet, there's cake on the table, his mom has cut three slices.
Neil grabs the biggest one, looks down at it, and wordlessly hands it to his dad.
oh he totally thought Neil was going in for a smooch
well, it was stupid of me to think there would be no dead poet in a movie called dead poets society
Todd losing his temper and snapping at Neil and Neil absolutely CRUMBLING

oh. my. god. i just watched “house’s head” and “wilson’s heart”. i feel SICK. genuinely sobbed while wilson was saying goodbye and i didn’t even thought of myself as someone who liked amber.
she didn’t deserve that guys 🙁🙁 oh my 💔
