I’m going to comic con this week, so because of this here are how I think the poets react to going to the con!

Neil

He’s totally packing all the snacks and making sure everyone else goes to what they want to

“Neil, I thought you wanted to go check out the Spider-Man panel?” “Oh, I did, but it’s fine!”

On Sunday, the poets just end up letting him chose the whole day to make up for it

Todd

He’s absolutely there for all the cute toy stands. In my heart of hearts, I know he loves calico critters

When it comes to comics and superhero’s, he’s got very limited knowledge. He does however know a bit of Marvel, and is a fan of Guardians of the Galaxy.

He gets tired of all the people kinda quick, so he’ll hide upstairs near one of the bathrooms for like an hour

Charlie

Huge nerd. I’m talking, buying all the figures and everything. He’s absolutely right sitting in line for exclusive merch. Probably blows a fortune

Shows up to as many panels as he can. Half of his day is spent just at different panels.

He works overtime for a month to be able to afford to do all this.

Knox

Completely clueless when it comes to any of this. He just kinda follows Charlie around the entire day and lets him have fun

However, he does drag Charlie to artist alley. He loves it, and has a print from one of the stands for each year he’s gone

I imagine he also collects all the monster high sdcc exclusives because he secretly loves monster high.

Meeks

He’s totally obsessed with all the anime stuff. As soon as he gets there, he’s bolting to the Crunchyroll stand. It’s just so cool not to (his favorite anime is Dragon Ball Z or Naruto cause he’s old lolz)

He’s also one of those people who’s correcting everyone else over pushing and just genuine courtesy

Forgets to eat and drink, so the others constantly have to remind him of it. It’s gotten to the point that they each have an hourly reminder to tell Meeks to drink water

Pitts

This man is showing up in full cosplay, and it’s absolutely committing to wearing it the entire day. (He cosplays Legend of Zelda characters prove me wrong)

He also is totally coming home with a full bag of merch that is all going in his office or wall of items later.

He doesn’t like panels that much, but he does go to the movie ones because streaming services are ripoffs and don’t give him all the media he wants

Cameron

Huge DC fan. Growing up, he absolutely adored Green Lantern with all his heart. The guy was just so cool.

He wears all sorts of nerdy shirts, so Charlie got him one of that meme of Sheldon from Big Bang Theory. Cam wears it with pride

Hates when people shove him, so he brings airhorns to let people know he’s there (like a little shit (this is said lovingly)

I had SO MUCH FUN, and despite some small imperfections which are inevitable in a show (someone's wig fell off it was so fucking funny) I'm very happy about how it went, and I'm proud of myself for how hard I worked and, honestly, for the results of said work. the people that came to see me told me I did really well (my friends bought me a flower bouquet,,, like people do with actors on opening night,,,,,, I was so fucking happy I almost started crying), and I even got some compliments from people I didn't know at all! I did really damn good!!!

obviously there's always room to improve, and I'm planning on never stopping, because god— this is something I want to keep doing. I love acting so much, I'll do whatever it takes to be able to step on stage again🥹

one of my favourite things about dead poets society is justt how human it is. you watch meeks and pitts create a radio and just dancing to the music. you watch todd struggle with social anxiety as he writes his poem, trying to make it sound cool and un-loser like. you watch the poets struggle as they do their homework. you watch these little things that you wouldn’t think matters, but to me it does. like it feels like you’re just looking into real peoples lives—not just characters, and to me that’s just amazing.

guys there's no fucking way the play I'm in must be cursed, there's no other explanation. so:

we get there at 6pm and start out first rehearsal (it was tech, so it took a while because the director kept stopping us to fix stuff), that takes around 3 hours

it's 11:30, we've almost reached the end, and suddenly a lady starts yelling from her balcony (we're at an open venue) because we were making too much noise and she couldn't sleep and she threatened to call the cops (we had permission to be there, and you can't legally file a noise complaint before midnight)

so we had to finish hastily, pack up and leave, AND WE DIDN'T GET TO DO THE FULL RUN WE WERE SUPPOSED TO DO

so tomorrow we're basically going to wing it, YOLO I guess😭😭😭😭

oh and I also didn't get to eat dinner! I only had a banana at like 8pm, and I had to run around for so long, god this was a workout LMFAO
