Really the whole dragon taming thing really only works on the right type. Some dragons are more volatile than others, will not tolerate being kept in a stable with other dragons. Much too territorial for that business. Bigger dragons can be quite unruly and dragons smaller than average have a higher chance to get in scuffles and flayed. Really its irresponsible to put them in a shared space if they arent specifically a social species.

Keeping an unsocial or wild temperamental dragon you should:

-make proper husbandry for it. A large open area, most dragons prefer a dark area (trees, cave) and a bright area (clearing, dunning rocks) make sure there is lots of other enrichment in the area such as fun textures and things to mark with their teeth or claws

-access to both fruits and meat are a good call. Dragons have wide and varied diets, but this is a good start. However too much fruit may make it sick. And prey thats too big may harm your dragon if live. Source these things with both factors in mind

*If you see your dragon eating rocks that's normal leave it alone

-let it hoard things it likes (depending on size this can be quite the hassle) i recommend starting on the hoard yourself as a bonding gesture.

-wear armor when interacting as to not get shredded up (or dont. Your funeral) it should be able to withstand most things.

-Watch out for body language! What may come accross one way for one animal you know may mean an entirely different thing to a dragon. Its a good rule of thumb for example to not look it directly in the eyes unless you want to fuck or fight.

-👏learn basic draconic👏 its a sapient creature like you, remember this when it makes unreasonable or odd requests in a language you only barely understand.

- Your dragon may become comfortable to touch over time, if it expresses disdain for a spot pull your hand away quickly to keep it, try that spot again later to desensitize it.

Keep it happy and it wont try to kill you. 😊
