something I find so special about expressenz is how well they train their dancers to dance together. like their groups are so much more than the sum of their individual parts in a way. they have relatively few standout soloists (not sure if any expressenz dancers were top 10 and i think only a couple top 30) yet their groups are exceptional year in and year out. i feel like it would be a really cool dance environment to be apart of

#like the contrast of some of these larkin groups having 4 best dancer winners in the same group #yet both produce incredible routines #just something i've been thinking about

i love that belle marie won with a soft, pretty solo in a flowy sparkly costume, to a song with words that a mini can actually understand the meaning of! everything about it was just so age-appropriate and goes to show we dont need to have babies doing incredibly mature concert contemp for them to succeed!
