HI KIND OF EMERGENCY COMMISSIONS OPENING!!!!

(Not like, emergency I’m dying, but like, emergency avoiding poor college student life lmao)

I’m trying to get as much money as I can saved up so I can go to college without having a whole bunch of student loans. Currently have about 9k out of high school, and tuition is that per semester, so about 18k a year.

For me to be able to uh,,, live,, n stuff, I need to have some things stored away in my little hamster cheeks!!! For food, car payment, life things, yall get it.

It’s been very difficult for me to get a job, with the economy and my one job not offering many hours, and the other falling through. I’m trying to make it work but every penny helps :)

I am studying biology and art, the two things that make me want to get out of bed in the morning, and I’d love to be able to make it out of these four years able to take the job I want, not just the job that makes the most.

"ShadowVanilla is not abusive!"

Abuse is a pattern of unethical/hurtful treatment towards someone, where someone is repeatedly being hurt. Shadow milk has hurts Pure Vanilla multiple times, with the full intention of hurting him. That itself makes him an abuser. Sure, shadow milk have a tragic backstory that he have no one who understands him and he acts cold and careless because he fears vulnerability, but that DOES NOT excuse his actions at all

People enjoying fiction about a pairing doesn’t mean they excuse the actions of one of the parties. These two are very complex, and yes, IT IS MESSY.

That’s why it’s interesting narratively.

The two of them have a hero villain, angel and devil vibe that a lot of fans find incredibly interesting! I think it’s important that we have discussions about what is ok to engage in in fandom spaces. Two characters having an enemies dynamic in canon doesn’t change that they may be really interesting as a couple in fandom.

I’d also like to call attention to the fact that the story is not finished yet. There have been characters with crimes in other media that have been redeemed.

Another example of a character that I saw get bashed a lot years ago was catra from SPOP. She did some HEINOUS stuff. Homegirl threw adora off a ledge, fully believing it would kill her, broke the entire timeline just to get back at her (hm… sounds familiar..) and called upon an alien race that came and almost wiped out the entire planet.

And still, she changes. She grows and becomes better. Not quickly, not perfectly, but she tries.

And ultimately I think that is what the majority of people who enjoy shadowvanilla and shadow milk’s character as a whole find so appealing.

It’s the fact that he has been set up so well AS a bad person.

He is a villain, without a doubt.

But can he change? Will he finally take the hand that was offered to him after so much pain that he knows he caused.

I do not think it is fair to narrow down peoples enjoyment of a ship to “you think abuse is ok.” That’s not what it is. That’s not why people enjoy it. It’s the idea that bitter people, even those who have done horrible things, can one day find peace.
