That was so so so good!!! I'm almost speechless, because it was so amazing to see him back at stage again. He was so happy and relaxed, and he seemed to really enjoy being back. He was dancing and joking, and it looked like he had the time of his life. You guys have probably read everything about the show on twitter already, I'm a bit slow, sorry about that. Even though I'm 35 years old, my mum still wants me to call her when I'm out alone in the dark, and especially in another country lol. But anyway, here's my experience:
Aperture: When he entered he started playing on a keyboard ish thing? Almost like he was a dj. That went on for a couple of minutes, and then he started singing. It was like the whole room exploded and everyone was singing and dancing. The dancers weren't there, but the choir was. His voice sounded sooo good, that I for one second was like "Is he really singing live?" (He was, but that just shows how incredibly talented he is).
American Girls: He went straight from Aperture to American Girls. No talking in between. And it was so nice to see that many people already knew the song. Such a good song live!!
After this song he started talking. It felt like the applause never ended after he said "Good evening Manchester" (or something like that lol). He thanked everyone for coming, and said he had family and friends in the audience tonight. He also did his barking move LMAO. And he said he hope we're going to have a good time, "and if you don't have a good time, try faking it, because you might end up on netflix".
Ready, Steady, Go!: I'll probably say the same thing about every song. That it was soooo good live! Every single song on that album is absolutely perfect to dance to. And it's so clear that he's very happy to be back on stage. And again, people already knew the song.
Are You Listening Yet?: Absolutely perfect. Like, I don't have much more to say. Just very very good.
Taste Back: When he sang "Dinners with your high school friends" he pointed at someone in the audience, probably his childhood/high school friends, so that was very sweet.
He talked about after this song again, and then he said "Here's Season 2 Weight Loss", turned around to the band, and then turned back to the microphone and said "No, it's not. Here's The Waiting Game."
The Waiting Game: The more I listen to this album, the more I love all the songs? And it really seems like Harry is proud and satisfied with the album.
Season 2 Weight Loss: If I'm not completely wrong the choir was back on this song.
Coming Up Roses: Before he started singing he talked about his good friend Tom (Lmaoo I thought for a split second that he said "my good friend Tommo", so my heart stopped for a bit lmao). He said that when they're deciding which songs that are going to the album, Harry always throws away the songs that is only written by himself. But Tom said he really should have Coming up roses on the album, so Harry finally said yes (thank God!). He played the piano, and it was sooo beautiful.
Pop: This was SO AMAZING live. He was dancing sooo much and really feeling himself lmao. When he sang "it's nice to mix two flavours together together" he rubbed his belly lol. I can't wait to see this again on sunday on Netflix. He also had a smirk from time to time, so I'm pretty sure he knows what so many of us think the song is about, lol.
Dance No More: Another song that really was AMAZING live!! Pop and Dance no more were probably the songs were he danced the most, and the audience was dancing with him. In the middle of the song he presented the band.
Paint By Numbers: Another song where he played the piano. So beautiful.
Carla's song: Before this song he said a very special person is in the audience tonight, and that's Carla who he wrote this song for. He talked about her for a bit. Then he said "This is the last song we're going to play for you tonight. Then we're going to go off the stage, and pretend that we're not coming back to sing a few more". The song was very beautiful live. It's so powerful.
When he came back he sang:
From The Dining Table: After the song he was like "Well that was a long time since I sang that song. When I think about it, it's a long time since I sang any song."
Golden: He played the guitar, and it was absolutely perfect.
Watermelon Sugar: Just perfect.
As It Was: Leave America was still VERY loud, and he still danced his As it was dance.
Sign Of The Times: He talked a lot before this song. He thanked us again and again, and said that it's so much bad stuff that's happening in the world, but he's looking out on all of us, and he see kindness and love, and although the bad stuff is powerful, kindness and love are even more powerful. He also said "We're going to sing one more song to you (Sign of the times). Well actually two. Or maybe just one". And then people started booing, and he was like "Wow. It's my first concert in 3 years, and I'm getting booed on. Wow. Wooooow" lmao. Sign of the times was just as amazing as ever.
Aperture: He ended the ONO with Aperture again.
All in all, this was absolutely PERFECT! He is finally back. I'm very glad he took this break, because it's clear to me that he needed it. His voice is even better, and again... He looks sooooo happy. I can't wait to watch this on Netflix!!
