Still wild to me that all the Vipers in Xcom are trans girls. The game goes out of its way to make them all women, and also says that they’re the true form of the “thin men” from the first game, which was a disguise. They were literally boymoding. This is the only representation I care about, giant snakes with boobs that bondage you to death and spit in your mouth

He's (apparently) the only male in the whole species. He is the sole exception.

And he was potentially (we never get a clear answer) a product of Vahlen's genetic engineering. The ice powers and those spikes don't seem like normal things for a Viper imo.

Personally, I headcanon that they can do parthenogenesis. That, and/or by the time of Chimera Squad, there are more (non-genetically engineered) males around, since we clearly see multiple things pointing toward there being Viper children around - an egg incubator in one of the map tiles, at least a few pieces of artwork that seem to depict or be drawn by baby Vipers.
