Lister and Rimmer work for a vending machine company out in Logan. It’s the two of them to the van, and Rimmer always drives because he’s in charge™️. He has control of the radio and it’s only ever classical or boring podcasts.

Lister was stuck couch-surfing for a while trying to find a place to rent, and Rimmer offered his spare room as a short-term lease to be nice. It’s been almost 8 months and it’s hard to find motivation to leave when your housemate drives you to work every morning (even if he is a total smeghead).

Cat’s a friend of Listers who’s always bumming around the apartment and leaves his vapes everywhere. Rimmer’s not sure what his job is outside of ‘phone’. Could be porn, could be an influencer, he asked once but still can’t figure it out. He suspects that Cat has rich parents because good god that’s a lot of designer goods.

Kochanski works in an office in the Brisbane CBD that the two service the vending machines for every day. Todhunter is their manager who is constantly on their case for spending too long on each job. Holly maybe the landlord? And Kryten I’ll get back to you on.

Lister is from Liverpool (NSW) and Rimmer somewhere in Melbourne, and his brothers are all RAAF.

Rimmer has stopped and started about 7 degrees at this point and it’s starting to get embarrassing. Lister has some kind of art degree from tafe.

Cat and Lister have been trying to get Rimmer to go to the valley after work for months now. He won’t budge.

Listers drinking buddies are all assorted tradies. Chen is a plaster, Peterson is a sparkie, somehow.
