It has been a while! I’m back after a long time away from tumblr because I’ve been wanting to start blogging/journaling more and explore how to express myself creatively, especially now that I’m going to be home almost all the time. Honestly, I’ve changed a lot this past year or so, and I’ve been enjoying my Hobonichi so far. I learned a lot about myself and finally found my career direction (accounting), which was so far from what I originally thought was for me. Art will always be dear to my heart, but I could only ever enjoy it if it were solely for pleasure. I think trying to make it into my career really dragged me down, so I always avoided it.

So much has changed and it’s really scary, but it will work out in the end. Don’t be afraid trying new things, even if you feel like you’re betraying a part of yourself.   I’m still in community college, working on associates for transfer. I’ve started to draw again, admittedly after a long time. I’m enjoying it though, and that’s the most important thing. I still want to do something with my art in the future, but it will probably be after I’ve established my career. I want to open a small business someday, like a cafe/coffee shop. I want to improve my art skills and draw people more often. I want a lot of things now that I’ve found the motivation and heart to create.

But for now, I’m just going take it slow! I’m going to draw, journal, embroider, dance (or at the very least try to) and learn.

I hope everyone has been well, though. Stay safe. You’re growing and you will continue to grow even if you feel like you’re not. You’re going to be okay.
