Late to the Gym

Now that I am on the back half of life, I find I am obliged to get fit or, well, get dead. What the hell! Here I chronicle my journey to fitness and adventures I slay as I finish up strong.

Starting B-School!

Wow! I made solid progress with my health in 2014. I feel so confident and encouraged, I enrolled in B -School to compel me into success in e-commerce. Then again, I am also started my novel, Clean Drawers. All of this awesomeness I attribute to better health. 2015 is different!

Every single day at work.  

"Why do you eat healthy? You’re already so small…are you trying to lose weight?

Gah! No! Just because I’m eating healthy doesn’t mean I’m trying to lose weight! You do realize that eating healthy is how I got to this “small size” in the first place? You do realize that eating healthy to lose weight and then going back to eating crap all the time is the stupidest idea ever, right?  Yeah, I’ll just eat healthy only when I’m trying to lose weight and then when I get to a “small size” I’ll eat an entire pizza for lunch and burgers and cake for dinner like you guys and blow right back up again.  I eat healthy because I LIKE THE WAY I FEEL.  I eat healthy because I fuel my body for fitness and health.  I eat healthy because it fuckin tastes GOOD! 

I’ve been 200+ lbs before.  And the food that got me there…the processed shit, the sugared up snacks, the “so-called diet food” (Hey frozen lean cuisines, I’m looking at you!), the fast food…it doesn’t hold a fucking candle to the amazing food I eat now.  Seriously, coworkers and people around me, why don’t you give healthy food a try.  You’ll be so surprised.  Really.  And hey, maybe you’ll stop asking for my workout advice and wondering why it doesn’t work!  You can ask my advice on that all you want, but when you do as little as possible and still eat crap, what do you think will happen?  The answer is: nothing.
