also I guess wattpad premium allows you to download as many works as you want to read offline. whereas if you’re on free plan, you can only download a few works to read offline.

I believe the platform recently updates their rules. nothing changes. you still get ads and censorship. but they just make the rules more strict in regards of smut without any real plot. so basically their new policy just makes things even worse for their own users.

mind you, on ao3, there’s zero censorship. you can post the most filthy porn without plot fic on ao3. you can post the most taboo fic on ao3. ao3 was created specifically to host this exact type of fic. and also. no ads. you can download as many fics as you want to read offline. and everything is free.

I am going to try and talk more about my lack of dysmorphia pre-E, because I feel like even now the vast majority of cis (and trans frankly) people think that dysphoria/dysmorphia is this like bedrock, fundamental transgender experience and that not experiencing body dissatisfaction of any kind means you aren't transgender. Which is clearly not true at all and something that serves to keep more people from realizing they can transition!

I credit this widespread belief as being the main reason I did not realize sooner. You always hear about "hating looking in the mirror" and "feeling like you are in the wrong body" and these two feelings being constant and front of mind from an extremely young age. Well that wasn't how I felt! Guess I'm not trans!

I didn't hate my reflection, I felt neutral towards it, sometimes even pretty good! Like I look fine! But now? The euphoria I experience looking in the mirror makes those 'neutral' feelings seem quaint, like oh babe. You silly, silly, silly girl...

What's more, is that being attracted to women while being a deeply repressed trans girl is a surefire way to have a strange combination of attraction to women and gender envy of women. It's impossible to seperate the two especially as confused teen 'boy' who feels alienated from other boys/men, but isn't "one of the girls" quite yet. Like I'm thinking shit like "do all 'straight boys' feel so incredibly attracted to women that you want to be one?" and while I never actually voiced this question, I know now that the answer is an emphatic NO, straight cis men are not thinking this shit. At all.

These two things, being a lesbian and lacking body dysmorphia, are the main drivers of keeping me realizing I am a woman, of course there are many things, but these are the two most salient culprits imho. And of course the fucking ambient transphobia/transmisogyny of everyone and everything around me just further exacerbated all of this like. I didnt even know what trans people were until I was like, 18/19. It's crazy.
