Kid’s Gardening Activities
Starting your own home garden is a great way to learn how to grow your own food or foliage, and while it does take time and effort, it’s certainly worth it to see your hard work grow into something beautiful {or delicious}. It’s also one of the best family friendly activities in my opinion, and there’s almost nothing I love doing more with my boys. So today I’ve got a few tips on gardening activities for your kids that are easy, fun, and make for a wonderful activity to keep little ones busy. Keep scrolling for a few recommendations…
1. Grow Sprouts & Microgreens Sprouts and microgreens are great options to start off your kid’s gardening activities since they grow so quickly for little ones with limited patience. This might be an appealing option if you’d also like to work with plants that require minimal care too. If you’re not sure which plants to start sprouts with, radishes, wheatgrass, sunflowers, and salad leaves are all vegetables that sprout and grow very quickly.
2. Garden With Things You Have In Your House Try gardening with items you have around your house, like growing microgreens on a plate or reusing old cartons to grow seedlings. It’s a great way to repurpose old items and reduce your waste.
How To Choose The Best Essential Oils To Use
How many of you love essentials oils for aromatherapy, but may not know the best ones to use depending on your needs? I’ve definitely been in the same boat. Recently, my co-founder, Hannah Skvarla, and I announced our collaboration with Saje Wellness and The Little Market on an Aroma Mosaic Diffuser, which empowers and supports women artisans worldwide with a generous donation from Saje. Since launching this collaboration, I decided to take a moment to finally look up which oils are good for certain uses, and I’m so happy I did. Want to find out which oils are known to help soothe or energize your senses? Keep reading…
For calming properties…
Try geranium and lavender. These florals are great calming and balancing oils that also happen to smell fantastic, and are a great way to help you unwind after a long day.
For soothing properties…
You can’t go wrong with clary sage, jasmine, frankincense, or tea tree oils. Essentials oils from these plants are a wonderful way to help soothe your senses.
For Rejuvenating Properties…
Then definitely try grapefruit or rosemary essential oils. The bold and bright scent of citrus and the woody aroma of rosemary can help invigorate your senses and rejuvenate your mind when you need a little pick-me-up.
For Refreshing Properties…
Say hello to eucalyptus, lemongrass, and peppermint essential oils. I absolutely love the scent of eucalyptus and peppermint, which are known to help you re-energize and stimulate your mind.

Lauren’s Tips for Applying Eye Cream
I’m a big believer in using an eye cream in your skincare routine. Your eye area is so sensitive, so I think it’s important to use a product that helps target specific issues like dark circles and puffy eyes. I recently released my Eye Cream from Lauren Conrad Beauty, and I love it because it contains caffeine, licorice root, and hyaluronic acid to help depuff, brighten, and hydrate your eye area. Because your eyes are one of the most delicate areas on your face, I thought I’d share my favorite tips to get the most out of your eye cream and care. For glowing and gorgeous eyes, keep reading for my tips…
Have A Light Touch Apply your eye cream with your ring finger for minimal pressure on the delicate eye area. You’ll always want to be gentle around your eyes.
The Perfect Way To Depuff An easy way to help depuff your undereye area? Put your eye cream in the refrigerator. Try to leave it in for at least 30 minutes before applying so the cream has time to get nice and cold. It’s so soothing, I promise.
Use A Semi-Circle Pattern Make sure your eye cream fully absorbs into your skin by tapping it in a semi-circle pattern to stimulate circulation and blood flow. You want to make sure your skin it getting all of the benefits from your eye cream, so don’t skip this step.
Let The Product Sink In Don’t rush if you don’t have to. Wait about 90 seconds or so for the product to fully absorb in your eye area before applying concealer or other skincare products. You want your canvas to be set before adding anything else.
