"I’m quite certain LBX can cause more damage to a person than just that," Haruki replies, following Einamu’s gaze and looking up at the dorms himself, "So don’t risk it."

Of course, it wasn’t a foreign concept for people to use the hobby robots to harm other people. Most LBX players knew this well, and restricted their battles to within dioramas.

Haruki turned as Einamu questioned him once again, shifting his weight and folding his arms.

"First floor." He replies, sighing a little, but still smiling. "I’m sure you’ll be able to find your way there."

Woah. The more Einamu heard about LBXes, the more he began to realise that these really, really shouldn't be counted as a kids' toy. They should be used for war, or law enforcement. Not for a game. Who even came up with this pastime, anyway?

"Understood." The brunette nodded, fixing his gloves carefully. Nodding softly once more and spinning on his heel, Einamu turned to the door and gave a rare smile as he adjusted his backpack. "Thank you for taking me all this way. I appreciate it."

"Well… I sneak in this school after I got expelled so…"

Wataru let another sigh. “One of the guards found me and appearantly I was knocked out… and ended up taken…”

"Oh." Nodding softly, the brunette folded his arms. Interesting. He definitely had a warrior's spirit....

"Why were you expelled?" The brunette questioned, giving the boy in front of him a bit of a curious look. Was he lost? Did he get bad grades? Einamu found this boy intriguing, and he wanted to know more.

"We-well… the truth is…"

Wataru let go a sigh. Seeing his talking opponent’s face tenses, he felt like he gave him the wrong idea. But should he really tell him? I mean.. wouldn’t it be awkward? arrgh…. I guess I just have to said it then…

"I kinda…. sneak into this academy…."

There. He said it. Wataru’s image must’ve changed on Einamu right now. Wataru felt like if there’s a hole he’d like to crawl in there. But, unfortunately there isn’t. It was his own fault to do that stupid thing anyway.

"....Oh."

Now things made sense. Honestly, Einamu wouldn't have cared at all - it's not as if he hadn't done the same before, defying orders and potentially getting in serious trouble thanks to something he cared about. Blinking at the boy in confusion, Einamu nodded.

"And?" giving the boy a confused gaze, he folded his arms. "You wanted to hide it? Why? It's not that bad a thing to do."

"There are a few in each manor." Haruki replies. He didn’t remember exactly how many were in each manor, but he assumed Shoebill would have a few, since it was a manor shared between two nations. Some students carried around D-Cubes, so it’s not like there was a particular lack of them.

Using LBX without a diorama? Haruki was a little shocked. It really seemed like Einamu didn’t know much about them at all. It would be risky for people to practice without a diorama, particularly beginners….

"No, I wouldn’t use one outside of a diorama." Haruki replies bluntly. "They’re stronger than they look, so it would be dangerous. Particularly so if you’re not sure how to operate one yet."

The two were drawing near to the dorms, so much so that they were now in sight.

"Shoebill Manor is on the left." Haruki pointed out, gesturing towards the large building.

"Oh." Einamu nodded in interest. Well, at least there wasn't just one. Maybe he could try and ask for one to be put in his room.... That would sure be useful. He could practice all night and bother nobody - It wasn't as if he had a roommate. Unless he did. In which case, he hoped they could put up with it. Maybe LBXes wouldn't be too loud.

Folding his arms, he blinked up at the dorms and nodded. "Are they really that harmful? Like... are they really capable of burning the flesh off your hands?" If they were, Einamu really didn't see why they didn't just go up to the terrorist smurf and blast a little LBX gun at his face in the first place. Maybe that didn't work too well or something?

Observing the dorm in interest, he nodded. It looked surprisingly classy. The flora wasn't too badly-kept at all. All in all, it didn't look like too much of a painful place to live.

"Thank you." Einamu nodded, giving the other a slight smile. "--Which floor is Room 300 on...?"

"I see, Einamu-san, then?"

Wataru gave the boy in front of him a smile. He is glad that he is not as scary as Wataru thought

"E-eh?? M-me?? Ta-taken? Ye-yes o-of course!!"

Wataru sweats nervously as he looks to the side, avoiding eyecontact with Einamu.

"uh… Kinda….? Aha….ha….ha…"

What a suspicious reaction, Einamu blinked. Maybe the boy was a spy from Ezeldarm and he didn't want him to know? Interesting. Very interesting.

"What do you mean, 'kinda'?" either way, the brunette was confused. The boy in front of him was hiding something, and he wanted to know what it was.

Oh.” Interesting. The brunette couldn’t help but wonder what kind of town designer - that was what they were called, right? - would want to emulate a landscape like that. Maybe it had a particular purpose, like trying to give off a feel…? Einamu would google it later. Or look it up in a book, depending on if he could actually find an internet connection or not. Following the black haired boy in interest, he nods.

"Yes, I am." short and simple. "I’ve heard of them, but where I come from, they’re not particularly popular at all.." Blinking in surprise at the question - having completely forgot he hadn’t given it out himself, it seems - he looks up at you.

"Einamu." he replies, playing with his gloves once more. Did he need to make up a last name…? He didn’t think he needed to, so he’d wait for now. Maybe he’d make up a cool knight-like one - he wasn’t particularly fond of his birth name, after all. He’d think of some later.

The idea that there was a place where LBX aren’t popular was kind of a mystery to Haruki. Everyone he’d ever known had heard of LBX, and most people he knew could operate one.

"Then, Einamu," Haruki begins, actually making eye contact rather than looking ahead as he walks, "You should probably learn the basics of how to operate one before War Time begins."

It seemed common sense, really. Haruki was admittedly a little nervous about commanding the World Allied Forces when it seemed as if half the members didn’t understand how to use an LBX. It would be hard to take down Ezeldarm with a group full of people that didn’t know what they were doing.

As they drew closer to Shoebill Manor, Haruki took it upon himself to make sure that Einamu would prepare himself. He was sure he would get used to it eventually, but it still wasn’t a bad idea to know what you were expected to do.

"There are dioramas in the dorm lobbies. If you want to learn, you can practice there."

Following the black-haired boy and keeping eye contact, he nodded. LBXes were never his thing, but if he wanted to live, he needed to learn, and so he took every word that the male in front of him said in. He reminded him of someone important, so he'd trust him for now.

"Alright." Nodding once again to show he had been listening, he pulled the white CCM from his pocket and looked over it. What an.... old piece of technology. He bet it didn't even have siri.

Adjusting the backpack on his shoulder, he blinks. "How many are there?" There could be other students with the same idea, after all, and the brunette hated waiting. "Can I do it outside a diorama, if needed?"

A bit startled being replied that way, Wataru collects his composure a bit. Perhaps my loud voice make him respond that way, he thought. He was, in fact, too excited.

"My name is Wataru Kenbishi! I am from Harness’ 1st platoon. And you are?". Having observing the short-hair boy, Wataru knew he was from Glenschteim, but it couldn’t hurt to know his name, now would it?

Oh. Einamu didn't really intend to scare the boy - maybe he was too rough again? He needed to watch his reactions. This wasn't El dorado, after all - he didn't need to intimidate his teammates. Attempting to soften his expression a little - and failing - he folds his arms.

"I'm Einamu. The leader of Glenschteim's first platoon." He really needed to make up a last name. He would think of some that night. "Were you taken too?"

"Ah, hello there!!". Wataru tries to hide his excitement by lowering his voice a bit. It is weird to be excited at the circumstances, but seeing he’s gonna get a new teammate excite him.

Turning around a bit in surprise, he - not having expected such a greeting - blinks before settling back down to a neutral expression.

"Who are you?" Playing with his gloves, he looks at the boy and observes him. He didn't seem like a mean person; but he knew from experience that the kindest people were often the most murderous. He couldn't remember said experience, but he had it from somewhere. "What's your name?"

"No, it’s always been that way." Haruki replies. "It’s just supposed to replicate a town in the 1960s. It’s been like that ever since I arrived, before he took hold of the school."

Of course, the buildings on the mainland were updated further, with skyscrapers and large screens towering over roads. Haruki had been at the school for a fairly long time, so his memory of the mainland isn’t as up to date as he would have liked.

G-Reve, huh… Haruki pondered that choice as he walked. Knight framed. It wasn’t a long shot to assume that the boy was a beginner, so it could work well.

"Knight frames are fairly well balanced." he begins. "Are you new to operating LBX, …?" Haruki stops speaking as he recognises that he’s failed to ask for the Glenschteim boy’s name. Good job, commander. He turns to look at him before asking.

"Sorry, can I get your name?"

Taking the other's hand and shaking it, the brunette nods. "Einamu. Captain of the first platoon of Glenschteim. It's nice to meet you."

Well, he thinks so, anyway.

Giving you a questioning look, the brunette blinks and stops playing with his gloves for once.

Haruki began walking through the town with the brunette, not really turning to point out this or that. The shops were all quite self explanatory, with old-fashioned, large signs above the doors. To be fair, the school itself wasn’t too hard to spot; it was the only modern building on the whole island, right at the top of the hill. The dorms were fairly close to it, but he felt obliged to escort the other boy out of courtesy.

"So, you were sorted into Glenschteim," he comments, walking a step in front of the other.

Haruki contemplates on asking the Glenschteim boy about the kidnapping and hostage situation, but decided it might be better not to.

"Have you decided on which LBX you’ll use?"

Following in interest, the brunette looked around. The old shops and scenery were strange; particularly for him, who was used to high-tech buildings and instant internet access. Looking around in slight wonder, he blinked up at the boy in front of him whilst keeping a cool façade. Or attempting to, anyway.

"Why is everything so.... old?" He frowned, following the other boy warily. "Is that another change that kid made...?" He could never be too sure, after all. Maybe the blue chicken had liked old buildings. Maybe they blew up and exploded in a way that he liked. Maybe he had a fondness for mid 1960's architecture.

Glenschteim. The name was hard to pronounce, and the gloves that were a part of the uniform annoyed him. Either way, it wasn't too bad, considering the full-body suit he was once forced to wear. Nodding tenatively, he folded his arms. "G-Reve." he noted, once more playing with his gloves. "The knight-framed one. It looks interesting."

Einamu adjusted his gloves awkwardly and blinked.

Where am I…?” he muttered, looking around in confusion. He had been sure he was following the right path. Now he was… lost in the middle of the town? He almost scoffed in irony. The sun was setting over the tall buildings; it seemed late, and seeing as he was apparently a platoon leader now - wasn’t he meant to set an example, after all? - he really, really needed to get to his room…

Looking around, he noticed somebody. Walking up to them, he gave them an awkward look.

"Excuse me?" the brunette asked, folding his arms. "Where am I? And how can I get to shoebill manor?"

Haruki was on his way back from introducing a group of new students when he was suddenly questioned by one of the newcomers.

He turns to look at Einam. “You’re in Kamui Island’s shopping district.” He begins to explain. Haruki’s glare seems slightly harsh at first (which is understandable, given the situation), but his tone isn’t particularly malicious.

Haruki had expected the guards to take the students further, but he supposed they’d just left them to fend for themselves. Those affiliated with Ezeldarm would be at the submarine already, so only those that were in the World Allied Forces would come this far up towards the school. He figured that Seledy wouldn’t care for these kinds of students much, so he took it upon himself to reply to the brunette.

"Shoebill Manor is at the top of the hill, near the other manors and the school. If you need it, I can take you there."
