Alas, another cry into the void…

After being forced to acknowledge my depressive episode for the past three/four months, it’s made me realise that I’m outgrowing my expectations of pursuing a corporate career, and how soulless it is, and how I have succumbed to burnout.

I have decided to face my fears - find a relatively stress-free admin job that still pays the bills, and pursue my life-long passion of being an author. I want to make my little seven year old self proud of the adult version of me who decided her dreams were sufficient, and that have still remained true and significant after all this time.

The little seven year old who was outraged she wasn’t able to “share” characters from other books in her own stories because she did not yet understand what copyright was, but still managed to write her own unique, creative tales and characters, nonetheless. (She would let Jacqueline Wilson keep Tracey Beaker just on this occasion!)
