“My clever Athena.” Hei whispered with admiration, digging into her own pockets. For someone who was meant to be behaving, she’d picked up a few knick-knacks that didn’t belong to her. She had, however, restrained herself, so there wasn’t as much as there’d normally be. 

Lifting her loot out of her pocket, she tossed one piece in front of Geum, who stopped her escape to chase after that, and then tossed another, and another, banking on the fact Geum couldn’t ignore sparkly things. With each piece, the niffler was coming closer and closer to them, the lithe pirate ready to pounce as soon as she was sure Geum wouldn’t escape. 

Lavinia smiled a little at the praise, always happy to have Hei’s approval. For now, she resisted going into too much detail about where Hei’s little shinies had come from, simply saying. “I just hope their owners don’t realize who was around when their things go missing.” They still had their cover to be concerned about. But the niffler was more important at the moment.

Lavinia cooed at the little niffler as it got closer. “That’s it Guem. Come on and get your little treats. We’ve got more on the ship we can give you, just come on home with us.” She made eye contact with Hei as the niffler came into grabbing distance, as if signaling that now was the time.

“Really? You seem too beautiful to need anything like that.” Moira said, all sunshine and no cheek. Despite her innocence she could read the other woman quite well. “Well, I assume you’re talking about kissing.” She said, bouncing on the balls of her feet. “You’re supposed to kiss under the mistletoe for some reason, probably for good luck.” 

Lavinia gave the other girl a little grin at the compliment. She remembered her from the library, and she’d been a little...too silly then but— she wouldn’t mind simply having a kiss from her. “Am I?” she continued to tease a little. “I think it might actually be something of the opposite, right? You get bad luck if you don’t kiss underneath the mistletoe.”

Juno grinned, she loved someone who gave as good as she got, the fight and the chase between two possible lovers was half the fun before the tumble. “What you want more than a kiss darling,” she hummed as she leaned forward, locking her knees so she wouldn’t go flailing forward like a fool. The woman was close, she could close the gap, but she didn’t huff or puff when she stepped back, instead Juno let a smile curl across her fine features. “I’d be eternally grateful, but maybe the mistletoe isn’t just the reason I’d want a kiss. But then again,” Juno flicked her eyes over to her, “I think you’d have a fun time with me. I’m always up for a good time. I’m not above saying that I don’t want one,” Juno didn’t beg anyone, “you’re pretty, I’m pretty, we’d be a great picture in a bed, or against wall.”

Lavinia chuckled a little at Juno’s response, which was to apparently state the facts of how not opposed she would be to kissing Lavinia. Of course, she wasn’t opposed to such an idea as well. “But what if I prefer eternal gratefulness?” she teased a little, still letting the girl simply stand there under the mistletoe. “Are you implying that I’m the sort of woman to do anything more than kiss a girl under the mistletoe?” She was. But it the girl had funny responses, and she was a little interested in hearing another of them.

Moira had been bouncing around all evening, recieving thanks for the cats she had given to everyone. And her mother had told her that cats didn’t always make good gifts! She noticed a beautiful woman standing before her after a few moments. The question made her smile, “Well Master Hufflepuff said that it was useful in beauty potions.” She said, her lips twitching slightly as though asking to be kissed. “But I’m not sure you’re talking about the magical uses.”

“I’ve have heard of it being used for such things,” Lavinia pretended to muse, as if the information were actually interesting to her. The movement of the other girl’s lips drew her eye to them, and she smirked a little at such a thing before looking back up. “Am I not?” she teased a little. “What else would I be talking about?”

Juno couldn’t help the hapless blush on her cheeks, undone by a simple fucking hex, no wonder her parents sent her off. She growled and twisted again in her boots that were much too tight. She couldn’t take a step back from the other woman’s advance, so instead, she jutted her chin up, “ I need to get unstuck, it seems that this counter-curse is one I don’t know.” the taunt made her words bite a little, she always hated being backed into a corner. “Besides, girls like me don’t need to stand under mistletoe begging,” her grin was mischievous as she leaned forward, “but if you know how to unstuck me I’d happily give you,” Juno’s blue eyes gave Lavinia a once-over, “a kiss. I am rather partial to women.”

Oh, she was a little funny, wasn’t she? All bite one minute, and the next she was asking brazenly for a kiss. Lavinia leaned in ever so slightly, as always wanting to play with her food a little. “A kiss? Is that all?” She was careful to let the heat of her words brush over Juno’s lips. But then she pulled away, leaning on the stone of the wall behind her. “Ah- well- if girls like you don’t need to stand under mistletoe to get kisses, then I supposed I could just undo the hex for you.” Hexes were rather a favorite of Lavinia’s, the funny little biting and twisted things. They often had a mind of their own.

Lavinia had seen all the run-ins happening with all the students milling about, apparently clueless to the little green things hanging over their heads. Most of the night, she’d managed to avoid them, though it wasn’t necessarily on purpose. But now, as she spotted a redhead drifting below one of them, she stepped below at the same time. Lavinia had grown a little bored of milling about the party, and thought she might find some amusement here. “So are you familiar with mistletoe?”

Juno quirked an eyebrow, at the admittedly stunning girl, she was mostly annoyed because someone cast a jinx at the stone she was passing over, leaving her stuck beneath the Mistletoe. Thus far only one person had braved giving her a kiss, it was on the cheek and she hexed his arse. But she was still stuck. “Good, maybe then whatever idiot did this can undo the hex,” she tried to jostle her boots but no luck, still stuck, “ridiculous fucking, stupid, of all the idiotic…” she huffed and looked over before jabbing her thumb up at the mistletoe as an explainer. 

Lavinia’s own eyebrow quirked in response at Juno’s mention of a hex. But she wasn’t entirely surprised. She knew there were quite a few miscreants running around the halls, herself rather included. Though she personally thought she was above miscreant level. Either way, she followed the girl’s thumb upwards, spotting the mistletoe with a little smirk. “Ahhh, well that explains things, doesn’t it?” She took a daring step towards the girl. “So you need someone to kiss you?” she taunted a little.

The Juno girl wasn’t one Lavinia had particularly spoken with before, but she seemed something of the very definition of a loose cannon. Though to be fair, many of the Gryffindors were. Lavinia hadn’t noticed the mistletoe overhead just yet as she placed herself near the girl, wondering what exactly is was she was speaking so enthusiastically about. “I think the entire castle can hear you.”

Thus far the holidays at Hogwarts had proved very amusing, especially with all the slightly intoxicated people now running around under the mistletoe for kisses. She rather knew that many were during it on purpose, especially Hei. Lavinia wasn’t particularly interested in trapping anyone, though. She preferred different methods. But for once she was the one caught in a snare, a tall blonde coming to rest at her side as she leaned against the wall. She would have ignored the girl, most likely...if she hadn’t been lovely and standing underneath the mistletoe with Lavinia. “You’re one of the Vikings, aren’t you? Isn’t mistletoe from your culture?”

Teasing was something Cass had a lot of experience with. She had always enjoyed a little bit of attention, and drawing it out of someone like Lavinia was amusing. “Need anything?” Cass smirked, their breath mixing with how close they were. “There are a lot of things I need. Right now is all about wants.” She brushed Lavinia’s hair out of her face.

Lavinia generally liked to play with her food before she ate. After all, who didn’t like a nice appetizer before the main course? Cass seemed like a smart woman, but she wasn’t very much interested in that at the moment. “Then what do you want?” she teased with a small and sneaking smirk.

“Actually Moira and I are in the same house.” He nodded politely to her. They were sort of friends, she was too innocent to try and seduce but she was helping him through care of magical creatures. 

“That’s right!” Moira grinned, “Milo can you heal me? I can’t go to the hospital wing again.” She looked at him pleadingly, clearly feeling very deeply on the matter. 

Lucinda stood up. This was all too much for her to care about. “I leave her in your capable hands.” She said dryly and walked away. 

Lavinia snorted and rolled her eyes as the blond walked away. What a silly little girl. But the redhead was silly as well, in a different way, but still the word fit. Still, Lavinia supposed she should introduce herself. “Lovely to meet you, Moira. I’m Lavinia. I’m sure Milo would be more than able to help you out.” She always expressed her faith in the man. “I, however, am running late to a class. And I’m afraid I must be going.” She began to rise while giving Milo a look that promised they would be finishing their interruption later.

“Ummmm….” Milo didn’t really have a chance to speak. Lucinda practically growled at the other woman. 

“This is a public bench, you are the two who are using it for….inappropriate purposes!” She accused. Clearly they had committed a cardinal sin in her view. Technically, they were about to. 

“Don’t make me go to the hospital wing.” Moira pouted, “Holden will be so mad!” 

Lavinia simply smirked at Lucinda’s words. Oh she really thought she was something, didn’t she? So she decided to taunt her a little. “I don’t think I’d be able to know what you’re talking about without being more specific.” She barely even spared the redhead another glance, thinking her to be rather pitiful at this point. “So do you know these girls or not, Milo?” she questioned once more. She was rather irritated how Lucinda had seen fit to steamroll the man.

Milo smiled at how easy she was to move. She was trying to hide it but he had her on the move. His hand reached just a little bit further when two girls sat down across from them. He immediately pulled away from Lavinia. Maybe they went unnoticed when everyone else was off doing their own thing, but these two women had definitely killed the mood.

One was a petite redhead who was bleeding profusely from her forehead, another was a fussy blonde. “Moira how on earth did you walk into a tree, again?” The blonde demanded.

Immediately, Lavinia frowned in displeasure as the two girls sat, entirely miffed that they’d seen fit to interrupt her an Milo’s game. Who had invited them to sit at their table anyway? She certainly didn’t know either of them. And what kind of idiotic girl walked into a tree? “Milo are these your...friends?” she said mostly neutrally, though there was a bit of edge to it. “You know a good place to get healed?” she said pointedly. “The hospital wing.”

Hei squeezed Lavinia’s hand, liking the simple contact. She never really set out to make people like her, she didn’t have the patience to be something she wasn’t for long. She just liked people so much, they ended up liking her in return. 

“Miss Hei is too nice.” Pokey turned his smile onto Lavinia. “Miss Hei’s friend is also nice. Pokey is happy to help.” 

Watching Pokey, she looked towards where Lavinia nodded. “Ohhh.” She breathed out, giving Geum a glare. The niffler froze, clearly debating whether or not to escape, and decided to make a run for it. With one guilty glance at Pokey, Hei started to follow, dragging Lavinia with her. “Don’t worry about it Hokey, I think she left it in her room. Thank you, I love you!” She called out cheerfully even as she kept a firm eye on her niffler. 

Truly Lavinia was becoming endeared by the little elf, but she was rather distracted by the fact that Guem seemed to be wandering freely about the castle at the moment. “Thank you, Pokey!” she called back over her shoulder as she followed after Hei, trying to appear as if she wasn’t tempted to tackle a niffler to the ground. 

Once the house elf had gone, Lavinia spoke quietly to Hei, as if Guem would hear their plan and catch one. “What’s the shiniest thing you have on you right now?” she asked, rummaging around in her own pockets. Between the two of the gold hoarding pirates they were certain to have something.

Cass pulled her hair out of Lavinia’s way, amused with the teasing. This was just the first game they’d play, she was sure of that, and she was equally sure it would always be a fair match. Her hands brushed over Lavinia’s breasts lightly, just a whisper of a touch. One hand stayed there, leaving just a gentle pressure, as the other moved up to Lavinia’s cheek, turning her face towards hers so her lips could tease over hers. 

Lavinia gave another appreciative hum as Cass’ hands ghosted over her, and not one to be outdone— her own hands rose to dance ever so lightly over the other woman’s breast, before giving a single on a light squeeze. For a moment Lavinia smirked into the barely there kiss before she teasingly spoke, her words brushing over Cass lips. “Did you need something?”
