boomers really started families so they could go to their kids weddings and have grandkids to play with but didn’t anticipate any of the in between stuff
One of my preachers said in his day teens couldn’t wait to get out of high school and marry the first person who said yes so they could finally “release themselves,” so to speak, and expressed disappointment in the rising average marriage age.
Like he was clear there were certainly problems in essentially marrying a stranger, but they were all problems that would be overcome through the Lord. He was sad our generation couldn’t relate to the thrill and daily drama of getting to know the person you married after the wedding.
So we can’t forget they also started families because they were unbelievable horny and didn’t anticipate life post-nut.
WATCH FUTURAMA THEY SAID. IT’S A FUNNY SHOW THEY SAID.
What's your favorite thing someone else drew?
definitely this
IT’S MARCH
Uh… It’s still May…
It’s august
It’s September
it hid behind your teeth and you were too nervous to seek it out. you waited for the perfect moment until you couldn't.
you’ve gotta stat romanticizing your life. you gotta start believing that your morning commute is cute and fun, that every cup of coffee is the best you’ve ever had, that even the smallest and most mundane things are exciting and new. you have to, because that’s when you start truly living. that’s when you look forward to every day.
live your life like a ghibli movie where literally everything is charming and beautiful
Good advice
