Why are people out there complaining about the whaling industry info in Moby Dick like it's not the most rivetting shit in the book. In the latest chapter, Ishmael says, "yeah btw when we're in the whaling boats we lash multiple harpoons to the same line to get a more secure hold on the whale, unless it goes wrong like it usually does, then the loose harpoon is flung around hitting people. Sometimes there are like 8 or 10 of them all flying around hitting people. This kills people frequently, it's still industry standard, and it will be relevant to us later :)"
heaven help us
When we jumping and popping we jopping
WHERE IS THE LINE????
meant to be a series of screencap studies but i got carried away w the first one. silna my lady of sorrow ILL GET U OUTTA THERE💔💔💔
Okay my secondhand copy of moby dick arrived in the post and it's a genuinely ancient copy which feels inadvisable to annotate in (it's also just smaller with smaller margins and stiffer pages) my original copy is much better suited to annotating but it's also my beloved child and I do not want any harm to come to it ... My dilemma is that I *feel* like I should be more precious over this secondhand copy but in reality I am much more precious about my original one
help
annotate the secondhand one! that's why you bought it. it was literally £3
annotate your original copy! it will be much easier
IMPORTANT CONTEXT I FEEL I SHOULD ADD: I am not one to annotate books. This would be my first time going through a book and writing thoughts and such as I read since GCSE English. I know there's not really a "right" or "wrong" way to do it but also I really really don't want to do it "wrong" and fuck up the book that I really am quite precious about
My secondhand copy seems like it will be. Extraordinarily hard to do anything with but also. My precious baby original copy :(
ah shoot stop stop you gotta rewind the song i forgot to imagine the animatic to the good part!
chronic illness will have you thinking things like oh no i shouldnt take painkillers. it only feels like i got my spine beaten with a loose piece of plumbing three days ago and my ribs gently extricated and reintroduced, ill save the paracetamol for a twenty-seven screwdrivers in my guts day or perhaps a crowbar repeatedly in the skull day :))
Allow me my odyssey.
INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE | season 1
Was unnecessarily stressed last night as I was trying to sleep about my dilemma of which moby dick copy to annotate (which. I still have like a hundred pages left of my library book so that's not a problem till at least tomorrow) and finally ended up falling asleep imagining myself holding and cuddling my original copy as if it was a stuffed animal. Okay
reminding everyone to wear sunscreen because the sun is a deadly laser: 😁😊
having to spend 10 minutes slathering yourself in grease just to safely be outside in the sun for 20 minutes. because the sun is a deadly laser: 😐👎
