i hope there’s no afterlife. that is, i hope that when i die instead of going to some other plane or whatever, i get to spend eternity exploring this big beautiful world and seeing everything i longed to see in life but couldn’t because i lived paycheck to paycheck. i hope that when i die i get the opportunity to lay in a field all summer and watch the wildflowers grow, to spend years wandering the bottom of the ocean where no living human has ever been, to climb to the top of a rainforest tree, to follow a herd of deer just to observe their day to day lives, to visit every museum and to listen to living people who love their lives laughing and singing and to witness human kindness. i hope there’s a chance because if not, what a horrific tragic waste life is, to live in a world far too full of experiences for just one lifetime and never get to see it all.
