Lenalee couldn't even respond; she was laughing too hard! She'd almost forgotten what she was upset about.

"I said stop - ," Lenalee tried to protest, but found herself breaking out in giggles, too.

"St - stop!" she choked out, still laughing, "Stop laughing!"

"Aw, how cute!"

"Don’t run from yer feelin’s, man, be my wife, sa!!"

     ”NOOO! YOU’RE DISGUSTING, GET AWAY FROM MEEEE—” he screamed, his voice trailing off as he ran away.

"Wait! Komui!"

Lenalee shook her head. "Lavi, what's going on? Did my brother do something? Did you do something?"

She paused for a second, remembering the conversation. "Did I do this?"

Lavi blinked, taking a step forward in concern.

"L-Lenalee..  did I say somethin’ stupid again..?  I.. ya know ya can’t take me too seriously, sa..  I don’t think first sometimes.."  He looks at the floor and shuffles his boot a little, "..or most a’ the time.."

Lenalee peeked out from her hands, taking a step backwards to counter him. "No, Lavi, that's - that's not what I meant."

She paused, trying to swallow her embarrassment to say, "I'm sorry."

"Hehehehehe, sure"

"N - no! Don't laugh at me! Really!"

"Eh?  Like what, Lenalee?  Somethin’ wrong?"

[le-na-lee]

Lenalee spun around to see Lavi. Her blush only grew redder, and she covered her face in embarrassment.

From behind her hands, she said, "Nothing - nothing, I mean, of course - nothing's wrong!"

"Hey, Bak, have you seen my brother around..?"

"Le-le-le-lenalee-san…!" Bak hadn’t expected to run into her today—he wasn’t prepared! Did he brush his teeth this morning? Is his hair messy? Gosh she’s beautiful…! Gathering himself Bak smiles and hopes Komui isn’t anywhere near by.

"Sorry, Leanlee-san, I don’t know where he is right now." Probably running away from his work or hiding away to work on some insane and ultimately useless project—he can’t tell that to Lenalee, though.

"H-How have you been, lately?" He almost never gets a chance to talk to Lenalee without Komui around—he needs to make the most of this!

Bak watches her carefully—her smile spreads over her lips like sweet, golden honey, her eyes sparkle like two perfect onyx stones….She’s been well! And she says it’s nice to see him…! Bak starts to float on clouds before he realizes how distracted she is, how little her mind is actually on the conversation. He reluctantly crashes back down to earth; he even more reluctantly realizes, by her question, that she’s still thinking about where her brother could be….

"I haven’t seen him," Bak says, sounding as concerned about it as he possibly can (which is very difficult). What’s even more difficult, though, is what he decides to say next. "Perhaps, ah, I c-could help you look for him! He can’t be very far."

[le-na-lee]

"Ah…," Lenalee replied, not fully processing Bak's offer. A moment later, she responded, "Oh! Thank you - I'd love some help. The Order is a big place, after all. Maybe we could split up, and cover twice as much ground…"

She looked at Bak hopefully. The sooner she found her brother - and got him out of whatever trouble he was certainly getting himself into - the sooner she could relax.

"I never said anything like that!!"

The snowy haired exorcist simply nodded in response. It was rather odd for the Order to be so deserted at this time in the morning since now was normally the time every one was running around to get things done. Oh well, stranger things have happened.

Blinking over to her and shook his head, “I haven’t would you like to join me, Lena?” He asked and used his head to motion for her to walk with him.

[le-na-lee]

"Sure," Lenalee nodded. "I'd love to come with you."

She hadn't noticed how hungry she was; she'd been distracted by looking for other people. Now that she thought about it, though, she'd been up for quite a while, and she hadn't had anything to eat. She hadn't even checked the cafeteria for people.

That must be it - that must be where everyone was!

She walked with Allen in high spirits.

Silver blinked back hearing footsteps and a smile graced Allen’s lips as he saw Lenalee. His smile then turned sheepish as he shook his head.  ”No, sorry to say I haven’t…”

[le-na-lee]

"Hm… that's odd…" Lenalee pursed her lips in thought. "Kanda would usually be up by now…"

She waved the thought away. He was probably just out training or something, and Lavi was probably still sleeping. But it was odd that she hadn't seen any of the scientists around… Well, she was sure everything was fine…

"Have you had breakfast yet?"

"Nothing seems to be going on." Allen mumbled to himself as he walked the halls of the Order. "It's rather quiet"

[le-na-lee]

Lenalee heard Allen's voice from around the corner. She hurried to meet up with him.

"Allen! Have you seen anyone else around?"

[le-na-lee]

"What exactly are you trying to say?"

◤Semi-gloved hands tensed then relaxed, repeating as he thought out his next move— and keep Komui from strangling him for any part of this interaction. Having mastered the skill of elaborate facades, Lavi could tell something was wrong. Would she consider it too forward to pry?

"Y'know... if there's somethin' wrong..." A thick gulp was needed before he coughed a bit, heat rising to the apples of his cheeks. "You could... tell me."

Lenalee kept herself from looking at Lavi. She couldn't just unload her worries onto him… she couldn't expect anyone to deal with her emotions - that was her own problem.

She shook her head, moving to turn away from the other exorcist, but she found that she'd grasped onto Lavi's sleeve unconsciously.

That pushed her over the edge - she felt tears start to roll down her face. Tears she had been holding back for so long; tears she knew were coming, but was completely unprepared for.
