This viral UAP video, from TikTok user cocosongz, made rounds on several social media platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and Reddit.
The user recorded and posted multiple videos of the UAP onto TikTok and it resembles a sort of timelapse of the UAP, starting out around 10pm. Based on a comment from u/jarlrmai2, the location was The Tropical Winds Oceanfront Hotel.
In the multiple videos there is one large bright light that allegedly floated up slowly from the water and then smaller bright orbs that glowed colors of the “rainbow” circled the large UAP. The large bright light is suggested to be a “mother ship.”
One TikTok influencer, beautymrked managed to have their video discussing the event shared far and wide. The caption on his video asks what is going off the coast of Florida.
What may have helped this video go viral is that another user, djlovelyy, posted a video of the same UAP taken on the same night from a different angle from 3 hours away in Miami Beach.
Note that both of the original posters only posted their UAP videos to TikTok and likely not anywhere else based on comments on Reddit and searching online (as of a search in March 2026).
Another thing to note is that repeatedly in influencer posts documenting the viral video or even in Reddit post submission statements- there are comments about how the US government located a large UAP underwater off the coast of Daytona Beach and that it sent out electromagnetic pulses that shut off gps and radar. They claim that this message is being shared by whistleblowers and military personnel. One example is from a submission statement to r/UFOs by u/KedaKitten.
Along with some people pointing out that the UAP changes from a orange glow while initially close to the horizon and over time moving up in the sky and becoming a more white or light yellow illumination, indicating that it could very likely be the Moon- one Reddit user, u/cradawx, investigated the theory fully and proved it right.
U/cradawx set the date, time, and location into Stellarium and found that cocosongz video matches exactly where the Moon would be in the sky, including the matching shape of it being a waning gibbous.
While the smaller UAP circling the Moon were not focused on by commenters, they could possibly be satellites, taxiing aircraft to the nearby international airport, or even drones from local government enforcing the law during Spring Break.
The source of the government located underwater UAP rumor may be explained by a viral TikTok user, Kaprihsun, who was posting content around the same timeframe, talking about UAP and government secrets while in Navy uniform.
Despite this particular incident proving to likely be the misidentification of the Moon, there were some interesting posts about UAP in Daytona Beach shared online that deserved more attention.
One video on YouTube documented and shared radio traffic of military aircraft following UAP on March 1, 2025.
Another video posted on Reddit was also titled “What is going on in Daytona Beach?” And it was taken on March 26, 2025, around 12:30am. The video shows multiple orbs dancing around the sky over beachside of Daytona, in a sped up timelapse. Commenters suggested planes taxiing or police using drones but some orbs went into extreme speeds and took off over the ocean.
There may actually have been something going on with March 2025 but other content clearly showing the Moon and being titled similarly “What’s going on?” stole all the thunder.

Multiple Pilot UAP Reports Over the Pacific Northwest
On December 7th, 2024, around 8:30pm Pacific Time, multiple pilots from Horizon Air (QXE2207), United Airlines (UAL1596), and Life Flight Network (N661LF) reported unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) to ATC.
Life Flight pilot Joe Buley (u/mysterious-lab3224) captured video of one of the UAP, as his aircraft was closest to the area where the objects were frequenting. Photos were also taken by Horizon and United pilots, and a NUFORC report (#184932) was filed by other pilots monitoring the ATC exchange.

Pilot & Witness Videos
Joe Buley's wife, Kellen Buley (@kelkeltakieb), shared one of the original videos, on YouTube, showing a red glowing UAP flying toward Joe's aircraft before darting back out over the Pacific Ocean at high speed.
Local news reports suggested Starlink satellites as an explanation, but other pilots, including @genestuart on Youlube, brought up that it was not so easily explained.

Skeptical Perspectives: Military Aircraft?
Some commenters speculated the lights could be military aircraft performing corkscrew maneuvers, which are common in training exercises over the ocean. A Life Flight crew member also mentioned these corkscrew patterns.
YouTube user @spladam3845 offered a detailed explanation:
"I'd say they were F-35 or F-35B doing standard combat training, where you "corkscrew down" if you descend because THAT IS HOW military fast jets descend rapidly, really. The light density cloud cover you see in his picture, that makes the three beacons (or one on military aircraft if they so choose) to appear as a single point of light, as ALL aviation nav beacons do from far away. I think he saw the red orb glow of a tail beacon on an F-35 spiral down in a mock red on blue combat engagement, he watched it go from 40k AGL to 9k AGL in 15 seconds and it blew his mind like it blew the mind of the pilot doing the maneuver."

TCAS Triggering
One detail that complicates the Starlink theory is that ATC did not see the UAP on radar, yet the Life Flight aircraft's TCAS was triggered.
Joe Buley explained:
"That's the other interesting thing. TCAS works off a transponder code... So for something to register, it was registering like an aircraft. So the weird thing is, is we were seeing it as an aircraft inside the aircraft, but ATC wasn't showing it on their radar."
Again, @spladam3845 provided a skeptical counterpoint:
"Just for context, during the recording, he claimed the unknown aircraft triggered his aircraft's TCAS. This means the aircraft he was observing were equipped with Mode S Transponders... I'm pretty sure military aircraft have special transponders that allow them to use civilian ACAS but not show up on ADSB... It is Oregon though, and there is elevated terrain blocking radar all over the place at low flight levels."

Broader Pattern of Reports
These events align with frequent NUFORC reports (#185058, #183840, #183844) from the same region in November 2024. Pilots commenting on the YouTube audio post confirmed an uptick in UAP sightings toward the end of 2024:

The full audio (44 minutes total and nearly 9 minutes with gaps of silence removed) has been preserved on metabunk.org, along with the original photos and videos that were removed from Reddit and Imgur. Forum members even contacted ATC staff, who kindly forwarded the original evidence.
That forum thread is a great rabbit hole for learning from a skeptical pov and star link flares are argued hotly, yet still without explanation of the TCAS being triggered in this particular event.

The source of the link comes from a reddit comment of a user disagreeing with the skeptic, u/flarkey, who was the main poster in the metabunk thread and who’s special interest is satellites. User flarkey has consistently uploaded educational information online debunking UAP videos, especially ones involving Venus or Star Link. Mick West has mentioned user flarkey in some of his videos.

u/lemonodor shared a screengrab of the flight paths at the time of Life Flight Network (N661LF) pilot, Joe Buley, asking ATC if they show any aircraft as the TCAS is triggered. This resolves the mystery of the TCAS as the final puzzle piece and rules out everything but Star Link flare.
u/lemonodor: “He reported that he saw something on his TCAS. That's a co-operative system--it's not like radar that shows any object, it only shows other aircraft with the right kinds of transponder. He says "I visually have eyes on what looks like an aircraft strobe that's at my 2 o'clock and 22 miles at my altitude and I'm actually showing him on TCAS. Do you see that one?" The controller says "I do not." even though there was a jet at the same altitude, at 2-3 o'clock, 30 miles away that the controller has even been talking to.”

This error by the controller reporting that there is no aircraft that they see (possibly due to terrain?) is likely what confuses the pilots. It is confusing why no one checked the flight paths afterwards and before having their videos and photos sent to the local news or doing interviews or having their spouse uploading videos on YouTube. It now makes sense why so much content is now deleted a year later.

Full video of a UAP filmed near wooded areas along Interstate 10, at 9:45pm, north of Panama City.
A caption appeared at the beginning of the uploaded video, it said this:
“This video was shot at 9:45 pm 11/26/2011 along a wooded section of I-10 in the panhandle of Florida just north of Panama City. When I saw the craft, I jumped out of my truck and began shooting video. This thing fried my camera, but the memory card was fine. This thing was flying low to the ground and was glowing a strange way. You be the judge.”
The footage was shared on YouTube, and later Reddit, where viewers noted that recording stops abruptly. Some theories for the recording to stop were that the camera sensor was damaged by the light or possibly due to overheating.
A stabilized version of the video was uploaded to Reddit around August 2025.
Seen by 62 school children and teachers in Zimbabwe. Children are interviewed seperately and told to draw what they had seen. Children seen ETs outside landed craft also.
Abducted with some physical evidence. Unknown substance later found to be protein based. Was shown a star system unknown to anyone at time. Was later thought to have been Zeta Reticuli.
The landing of a craft or multiple craft of unknown origin witnessed by dozens of USAF personnel. Lost control of nuclear weapons at the same time as UFO was seen.
The Apollo 11 team witness a craft of uknown origin whilst on their way to the moon. Called and checked with NASA if there were any debris in the area. Included this one as it is from credible witnesses. Although this was said, in a later interview he concluded that it was a detached panel which contradicted his original statement.

Yalman provided the Sirius UFO Space Science Research Center with about two and a half hours of footage from the four month period. The Center went through the footage frame-by-frame and interviewed people who claimed to have witnessed one or more of the incidents. The chairman of the UFO Research Center, Haktan Akdogan, said that "after conducting all of the analysis we came to the conclusion that this video footage is 100 per cent genuine." Twelve airport employees were witnessing a metallic, saucer-shaped craft hovering over Gate C-17. The weather conditions were overcast at the time of the sighting. According to multiple reports, when the craft took off, a large hole in the cloud was left as it shot upwards.

American logger who claims to have been abducted by a UFO on November 5, 1975, while working with a logging crew in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. After spotting the UFO in a truck, Walton leaped out and ran toward the disc. The others said they shouted at Walton to come back but he continued toward the disc. The men in the truck reported that Walton was nearly below the object when the disc began making noises similar to a loud turbine.
It was concluded after a polygraph test that the team were telling the truth, and the exam results were conclusive. Clark quotes from Gilson's official report: "These polygraph examinations prove that these five men did see some object they believed to be a UFO, and that Travis Walton was not injured or murdered by any of these men on that Wednesday". If the UFO was fake, Gilson thought, "five of these men had no prior knowledge of it".
A class of students and a teacher from Westall High School were just completing sports on the main oval when an object, described as being a grey saucer shaped craft with a slight purple hue and being about twice the size of a family car, was alleged to have been seen.
Series of widely sighted unidentified flying objects observed in the skies over Arizona and Nevada. Witnesses claim to have observed a huge carpenter's square-shaped UFO, containing five spherical lights or possibly light-emitting engines. The governor at the time, was one witness to this incident; he later called the object "otherworldly."

Full video of a UAP filmed near the Main Street Pier in Daytona Beach, allegedly recorded by YouTube user “canishajohnson2517” from the 8th floor of a nearby hotel (likely the Comfort Inn & Suites Daytona).
There is some skepticism that the object could be a drone.
Local reports note Volusia County Sheriff’s Office uses drones for beach monitoring, and FAA rules permit recreational drone flights over water. The area is a major tourist spot, and the filmer mentioned seeing military boats with lights (though similar lights are common on shrimping vessels along the coastline).
This clip has circulated through MUFON (Case 110975), Reddit (and here), and YouTube (and here).
