Day 1 of Productivity

Finished a paper, finished 3 readings and notes, attended class, stopped by the shoe repair to pick up boots and cleaned my room

Today I worked all day and then finished a paper on Ancient Egypt and set my sour dough to rise so that I can bake it in the morning. I also began attempting to propagate some of my favorite plants. The best part of the day was that it snowed all morning!

here’s a bujo spread i made about some cool movies i’ve watched this year!! this is a weird mix of movies because some of them are true cinematic masterpieces while some of them are just some fun and entertaining ones that brought a smile to my face this year. it’s been a tough year but i’ve watched lots of movies to escape the real world. i had a hard time picking which ones to mention so lots of great movies are missing from this list. but let me know what were some great movies you watched this year?

Today I’m writing final papers, cleaning my apartment and then as a reward my sister is coming over later to make peppermint bark!

Last night I walked to a bodega near me and picked up a little Christmas tree. That and a few other decorations and now I have a cozy apartment to do finals work in. This afternoon I made myself a coconut milk and honey latte to motivate myself to work on a paper, hopefully it does the trick!

(Plus my new book came so I hope I have time to begin it tonight!!)

I moved to New York a few months ago for grad school and this is my new apartment. I made it a priority to have a good desk situation, this one I found on Facebook marketplace! It’s worked like a dream

I’m studying anc history and archaeology undergrad rn hoping to master in materials and antiquities conservation soon, but I live in rural australia so it’s hard to get to larger museums. Which is why I love your content so much, it’s like vicariously living my actual dream!! You’re so lucky and living your best life and I love it 🥰

Ah! I’m delighted!! For many years I didn’t have regular access to museums so I understand your situation 🙃. But there’s certainly something to be said for books and movies in the meantime!

I’m also signed up for a conservation course next semester which I’m very excited for since I know very little on the subject!

Today I worked on class scheduling, created an outline for my Museums final paper, emailed professors and catalogued a few prints. Overall, pretty productive day!

Today, I worked ahead in my reading and got 2 new bookends in the mail- antique St. Marks lions that I’m delighted by!!

I went for an early morning walk in Central Park when it was still very quiet and then treated myself to an olipop rootbeer and flowers in the afternoon during note taking. My landlord hasn’t turned the heat on yet so I had to cuddle under my covers to do some assigned reading.

2. Picked up flowers for every room of apartment because my roommate was having a tough day.

3. Catalogued a few pieces of art at work.

4. And called my grandmother.

I attended my Musuems course, took notes, arranged my bedside table, watered all of my plants and went on an evening walk with my sister and treated myself by going to bed early because I’ve been extra tired lately.

I got a new print and then took a nap after class today. This afternoon I will write a few pages of my paper due on Friday and make pumpkin coffee :)
