This is such a blanket statement for something complicated and I want to disagree with the strengths of a thousand suns. Is Shu all justice? No, it isn’t. The characters themselves are hypocritical and overbearing with the justice they claim to hold. The reason Wu turned on Shu was mostly due to Jing, which Zhuge Liang sneakily took when Wu was distracted. Now, you’re thinking “oh, it’s just territory”, but Wu build on a foundation of remembering its past and wanting to strengthen itself, claimed Jing as its own. That Zhuge Liang and by extension Shu promised multiple times to return it and never did forced Wu to take action, in order to take back what they thought was rightfully theirs.
tldr; Wu screwed Shu for their own benefit but so did Shu. There is no clear good guy or clear bad guy and this confession claiming as such should be flipped over like a flipping table.
In one of the what if stages, I think of 8, where Shu was questioning WHY DID WU BETRAY US, I nearly threw my controller at the screen. It was terrible writing, and terrible handling.
