REBLOG IF YOU ARE HELLA BORED AND WOULDN’T MIND SOME CURIOUS ANONS.
Alecto and Viago de Riva! Aren’t they such a lovely and totally not at all suspicious couple at the party?
Thank you @alystrin03 for commissioning this project from me!
My first Dragon Age comm and it’s made me so happy!
Check out mana4anam's commissions and portfolio! | An Illustrator using a mix of digital painting in Photoshop and 3D modelling in Blender t
More than a year ago @missingnozw and I co-wrote a fic called "The Firefly contract" (we should upload the rest of the fic, as it is fully written!!)
One of my favorite scenes I wrote was the inspo for this wonderful art I commisioned from @anam-mana and smh I wanted to share it
Contrary to both his custom and personal preference, they had arrived late to the party. It hadn't been his fault, or at least, not entirely: he was helping her finish dressing when things got a little out of hand, and then the dress had to be replaced with one that wasn't ripped at least. He tugged down his shirt, neatly pressed until that afternoon, to remove the wrinkles that had formed after leaving it lying around anyway. He blushed slightly at the memory, and cleared his throat. Good thing punctuality in Minrathous wasn't the most valuable virtue either.
He glanced sideways at his date. Alecto looked splendid, not that he could put a single blemish on her appearance, even favored by the faint blush that still populated her cheeks. According to her custom she had braided her hair in a complex pattern, done in such a swift and accurate manner that only years of practice could justify. Her clothing left rather little to the imagination. Alecto justified it on the grounds that it would put anyone's guard down and she may have been right, Viago himself found it rather difficult to look away. He watched as she chose a glass full of amber liquid offered to her by one of the servants, which Viago declined with a gesture. Alecto took him by the arm, orienting her body to the side he wasn't looking at. A seemingly affectionate gesture, but one that allowed them to have a perfect control of what was happening around them: there was no need to pretend disinterest, and both analyzed the rest of the attendants in the same way they knew they were being observed.
“We are not the only foreigners here” She pointed out
“It was one of the requirements for us to attend. The client is here, no doubt, and for their safety and ours it is better that no one knows who is who.”

"grackle" really is a perfect name for a bird. knocked it out of the park w/ that one
Damn. That really is a grackle.
Reminder that these are now open ☕
I accept all kinds of humanoids and creatures! These are experimental though, so there is a chance I might try something new with the style.

After this Lucanis blushed and declared everything was too tasty (Spite disagrees)
No IDs, but these tags got me in a huff:
So ok look. The point is not the flared leg by itself. These cannot be yoga pants. These are, and you have to understand this if you are too young to have worn them, BLUE JEANS. And this was the last years before all jeans were 70% spandex.
They were denim, and they weren't bell bottoms. They hung loose from the knee in a way that would make a wizard envious. We all walked around like we were wearing hakama. And they dragged on the ground. That was important. Ragged cuffs. If your jeans weren't so long that they had ratty cuffs, they were embarrassingly short.
And the thing about denim is that it's a twill weave and it's cotton. So not only does it hold a lot of water, it wicks. Walking around in these suckers on a wet day could get you wet to the knees even if you never stepped in a puddle.
Then you'd go inside and take off your shoes and try to avoid letting your freezing, wet, filthy pant legs touch your skin.
Yoga pants. Hmf.
people in cold climates would have a tide line of white marks around their knees (if they were normal height) in the winter.
From wicking up road salt.
The visceral memory of that time is something that never leaves you. Everyone's jeans were many inches higher in the back than the front because you kept stepping on the hem and ripping it off. Your lower legs were so very cold. Every new pair of jeans literally enveloped your entire foot, they were so so long re: leg-to-waist ratio. Walking on a rainy day was a legitimate workout. You have no idea.
Those trousers not just got wet as fuck (until the knees even, just by slightly touching water) but they WEIGHTED a lot.
Shoutout to my favorite genre of TOS episode:

V has his own vulnerable moment at Johnny's grave.
Word count: 658
V speaks his own mind after he and Johnny speak about the rockerboy's death and what it meant. (A conversation only canonical in my mind between my two favourite disasters).
"On Judy's balcony, that night, you 'member when you begged me fer at least one smoke?" V muttered to the air between them.
Johnny didn't dare interject. He had never heard such a sorrowful tone fall from V's lips before. It scared him — not that he'd ever admit it aloud.
"I hoped you would," Johnny furrowed his brows as he glitched back to sitting beside V on the scrap metal sheet.
"I wanted an excuse to smoke again. Needed it. You just happened to be the one to shove me over the final edge."
Johnny didn't know what to say, his chrome fingers twitching in confused agitation. He felt bad that he did this to V. What? Why? He's never felt bad for someone else in his whole damn life! He—
"Seein' Evelyn, trapped like that in her thoughts, her own damn mind, it brought me back to just a fraction of what I felt when Jackie... I hadn't touched these things in almost a year after he picked me up off my feet." V chuckled to himself at the memory of sitting on those steps, fixing his second broken nose of the day.
"He said that 'those things will kill you, hermano, ain't gonna make it to the big leagues if ya die before we get there'. And I believed him. I got rid of 'em, the few I had left, and quit, cold turkey."
Johnny shuddered at the memory, form glitching with the action.
"Now I ain't gonna make it big, so what's the point? Gonna die fuck knows when and I ain't got much to live for anymore, so I told myself if you begged me again I'd say 'fuck it' to the wind."
V took the all too familiar cigarette case from inside his — Johnny's — jacket. It was, of course, Evelyn's, Judy having let him keep it, even after what had happened. He ran a synthetic thumb over the embossed rabbit on the front.
Johnny moved, suddenly, blinking now to be crouched down in front of V. His own head hung low, hair blocking his face from V's view. The rockerboy was struggling to think of what to say. How to say it. Never mind the fact that he hasn't said something remotely sympathetic to anyone in decades.
"I—" He shook his head and tried again, "V, I didn't— ugh, look I'm sorry," nope, that felt wrong to even say, "ya don't have to deal with my shit, too. Shouldn't be in the first place. Shouldn't have me messin' with yer thoughts, yer feelin's, or whatever."
V's thumb stilled. He blinked a few times as his mind finally processed what his unwilling copilot was saying. "No, Johnny, this isn't—" V put the case back in its pocket, attention fully focused on the other. "I'm just spewin' shit. 's got nothin' to do with me not wantin' ta help ya. 'Course I do, Johnny. What else is there for me to do, right?" That made Johnny grimace. "Look, you get a second chance here, yeah? Take it. Make those amends, say you fucked up to their faces, even if yers is mine."
"V," he had removed his aviators, them no longer acting as a shield between his true thoughts and V, "I'm fine, really. Ya don't gotta waste what little ya have left on me of all people." I don't deserve it.
At that V just stood up, the old metal scrap creaked as his weight was no longer holding it down, "C'mon, where to first?"
So he was just ignoring him then huh. Tsh, this kid. "Ker doesn't live too far from here I don't think. Somewhere around North Oaks. Sure he'd love a visit from little ol' me."
V shook his head at his antics. Good, this was his normal V. Not whatever that V was a few moments ago. Johnny would do anything to keep that V far away from his V.
