Normally, when it storms humans tended to advoid the beaches; which made it perfect time for Nepthyne to stretch out in their dragon form without worry about being seen or expending the extra energy to create and keep up a glamour.
Which is why it came as a surprise to Nepthyne when they spotted one walking down the beach.
Nepthyne tilted their head to the side, observing the little (to them) human from where Nepthyne was submerged halfway in the surf.

Pants came next: Abbie was wearing swim trunks beneath her jeans and a rash-guard beneath her shirt. She pulled a complicated looking watch from her backpack and a large glass jar and, without further ado, strode into the water.
“FUck! Fuck that’s cold.” She’d come early, to give herself time to adjust and find a good spot. The water would be best if it was collected at high noon, even with the sun hidden behind the clouds. And better if it was collected deeper. Abbie waded further into the surf.
“Goddamnit holy hecking SHIT this is freezing I am going to get pneumonia, the client better be greatful oh my gooddddd.”
