Non-musician Classical music lover: I love Bach's music! You're so lucky to play an instrument so that you can play his music!

Me: Um I don't really like playing Ba-

Person: Nonsense! Who could not like playing Bach?

Me: ME! *recalls memory of trying to drill a Bach gigue and shudders* BECAUSE DO YOU KNOW HOW ANNOYING TO PRACTICE HIS PIECES ARE JUST NO YES I LIKE LISTENING TO SOME BACH BUT PLAYING IS NO I WILL RATHER HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH A NUCLEAR REACTOR THAN DRILL MY BACH

Person: But you're so lucky to be able to play Bach!

Me: *murders everyone*

I have to play Inventio 13 and I'm seriously thinking of searching ways to resurrect Bach for shouting why to his face (and then asking for tips)

for various reasons i’ve only written sporadically since i was in my early teens, and tbh i’ve really missed it. there is something therapeutic about writing which i love, but more than that it’s liberating and permanent, like photographs of the inside of my head. regular journaling hasn’t been a part of my life in years, but i’m hoping i can return to it now!

My first original post! I spent the afternoon making a start to putting together some notes for an essay question that I’m using in my coursework so they’re neater and more accessible. (I’ve only just started learning brush lettering and its sooo hard but I think I’m getting there maybe?)
