pancakes make studying ten times easier.
do not write the bulletpoints on your resumé like this
instead do this
your employer doesn’t care about what you actually did as much as they care about how you contributed to the workplace / “their bottom line” - saying you answered phone calls doesn’t tell them what you actually did to help their bottom line, but explaining “how” you did your job (in layman’s terms, in this case, “I helped customers fix their problems and learn more about the things we sell”) helps them figure out how they can use you
best of luck on your jobbing!
There’s always a balance! ⚖️✨ I’m working every day towards my long-term goals, but I also make sure to have fun in the short-term because you have to enjoy the present as well!🍦

Small Tips for Better Grades :)
I’ve compiled a list of small, but effective things you can do in order to improve your grades. I hope this helps at least one person :))
1. Expand your resources
- Go to your local library to study when you get the chances Sometimes changing your environment can help you study more efficiently.
2. Review your material every day - You do not have to completely review everything all the time, but skimming your notes so nothing slips from your minds.
3. Change your class habits - Try sitting in the front of your class instead of the back if you have the option. Most may not like this, but I’ve found sitting in the front beneficial. When I sit in the back, I tend to not pay attention. By making yourself sit in the front you’ll pay more attention (especially if you’re right in front of your teacher), and possibly ask more questions and get the grades you want.
4. Join a study group - Whether it be a group of two or five, find a group of people who have the same academic goals as you. Study groups can be very helpful for studying and overall motivation if you’re at a loss.
5. Prioritize your time - Not every class requires the same amount of work, and you should find out what classes you need to spend most of your time on. You will have to spend extra time and effort to get that good grade. That being said, don’t shy away from hard classes. Challenging yourself is great, it’s worth it.
6. Don’t be afraid to ask for help! - Although it may be difficult at times, do not be afraid to ask! I tend to let my pride get in the way, but sometimes you need to overcome your fears. Google is an amazing resource for pretty much everything. If all else fails, Google it.
『03.19.18』 Ahhhhh I’m lowkey kind of stressing bc of things that needs to be completed really soon. I’m probably going to be able to breathe a little more air after Wednesday, but for now, it’s crunch timeeeee >o< . 「Quick tip: Use school breaks to start reviewing for final exams if you haven’t already! 」
things i wish i knew in 9th grade
hi guys! it’s jordan :) today i decided to write a “masterpost” on the things i wish i knew as a freshman!! currently, i’m a sophomore, and i made many mistakes in freshman year, so i decided to share them!
freshman year matters
this seems very obvious, but i know so many kids who told me that freshman year doesn’t matter. this is not true!!! freshman year is (in my opinion) one of the most important times, and here’s why. freshman year is where you set your habits and start making your routines. freshman year could make you or break you. you need to start strong from the beginning, not from sophomore year. college’s do indeed look at freshman year grades, and your freshman GPA averages with the rest of your years, therefore it is super important that you start strong there.
ignore drama
this one is super important. i remember i was so caught up in drama with my best friend and her boyfriend and all that stuff that i wouldn’t have time to actually study or work hard, hence my grades dropping. drama is pointless. if someone is trying to get you involved in drama, ignore it. i think drama just distracts you, it doesn’t accomplish anything.
join clubs
i think ninth grade is the best time for this, and here’s why. ninth grade is the year you get less work, and it’s also the year that you don’t have to worry about studying for SAT’s or anything. you’ll most likely have a lot more time. start early. do as many clubs as possible because come tenth grade you’ll have so much more work and a lot less time.
learn how to study
now this seems so easy, but trust me, it’s not. middle school is so different from high school. in middle school, i barely studied and got pretty good grades, but when i did that in ninth grade my grades dropped. learn your style of studying and what fits you best.
i hope those things helped you guys :))
10 ways to get rid of your Sunday evening anxiety
If you’re like me you might be familiar with that strange sense of anxiety that you feel every sunday night : tomorrow a new week will start, you’ll have plenty of stuff to accomplish and you’re just here thinking about all of this and getting more and more anxious !
Even if I think that we all experience that and that it’s completely normal, here are some few things you can do on sundays for you to face the new week ahead in the best way possible :
Do something productive : this could be finishing some assignments, cleaning your sheets or going for a walk !
Pamper yourself : I think sundays are the best days to do this ! Wash your hair, take a bath, put on a face mask or paint your nails, you’ll feel better after taking care of yourself :)
See some friends, go take a walk together or hang out in some coffee shop! Seeing people is a good way to distract yourself a bit from everything that’s making you anxious
Plan your week : fill your bullet journal, right down the important appointments/deadlines you have this week
Meal prep : I’m not really good at cooking, but when I do it, I know that it relaxes me a lot and I actually have fun when doing it! Try some new recipes, watch some cooking tutorials. I absolutely LOVE watching PickUpLimes videos because they are so simple and super healthy!
Meditate : really a big life changing habit for me, I just put on Headspace app and go for a 5 min meditation just before bed!
Have sex : Yup guys, we all know it’s one of the best ways to relax ! And I don’t think I have to explain more on this one ;)
Read : On sundays I like reading a few chapters of the current book I’m on, like inspirational books about medicine or self-help! Fictional books are also a good option if you like them! It’s a good way to relieve your anxiety and gives you that little kick to get you through the week
Also, try going to bed at a reasonable hour : this one goes with the reading and/or meditation points (and also the point n.7 if you have a partner ^^’) to help you fall asleep. Getting a good night of sleep will actually make you feel more refreshed the day after and will help you start the week in the best way possible :)
Don’t be too hard on yourself : and I think it’s the most important. You binge watched 25 episodes in a row on Netflix? It’s ok, maybe it was the only way for you to unwind that day! If you feel bad after doing it just get up and do anything on the list above! It’s ok and IT HAPPENS ! Don’t blame yourself, it will only stress you more and that’s not what we want on a sunday ;)
So what did you do today? Do you have other tips? I would love to know more of you guys! Feel free to send me an ask telling me something about you :)
Hope your weekend was good though ! And sorry for my imperfect english grammar, I try to do my best!
good night X

Start now. Start where you are. Start with fear. Start with pain. Start with doubt. Start with hands shaking. Start with voice trembling, but start. Start and don’t stop. Start where you are with what you have… just start.
